I tested the SurveyMagic app to see if its surveys are worth your time. It is legit and easy to use, but most surveys pay very little and there are not many of them. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend instead.
Legit, but low rewards and few surveys
Most surveys pay $0.20 to $0.5. PayPal, prepaid Visa or Amazon from $5. Mobile only.

The short answer
SurveyMagic is legit. You really earn by answering surveys, and the app is easy to use without annoying pop-up ads.
But most surveys pay only around $0.20 to $0.5, and there were not a lot of surveys when I tested it. You reach the $5 threshold quickly the first time, thanks to the $1.50 intro surveys. After that, it takes quite some time. It can be a decent secondary app, not a main one.
- Offers payment via PayPal
- Offers a very straightforward way to earn
- The app is user-friendly and not spammy
- $1.50 for the intro and profile surveys, with no qualifying
- Limited earning opportunities
- Low rewards
- The FAQ page doesn’t provide very useful information
- Mobile only, and no help page in the app
My experience with SurveyMagic
I installed SurveyMagic, did the intro and profile surveys and tried the paid surveys. I did not keep using it after my test, because there are many better options. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is SurveyMagic legit and safe?
Yes, SurveyMagic is legit, because you really earn by answering surveys. But that does not automatically make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- Low rewards and few surveys
Most surveys pay around $0.20 to $0.5. When I tested the app, there were not a lot of surveys, and how many you get depends on your country.
- The second payout takes a long time
The $1.50 intro surveys help you reach the $5 threshold quickly the first time. After that, it takes quite some time to reach it again.
- Little help when something goes wrong
The app has no help or FAQ page, and the FAQ on the website does not say much. For account questions, you have to contact support. A few readers reported app problems or a cancelled cashout, and one wrote that support did not reply to their emails.
- Mobile only
You need an Android or iOS device to earn. There is no desktop version.
My takeOverall, I would say SurveyMagic is not a bad app to earn from. I like that it offers a very straightforward way to earn. However, the app doesn’t pay that well, and there aren’t a lot of ways to earn. You don’t have to invest a lot of time in it, so it can serve as a decent secondary app if you adjust your expectations.
SurveyMagic pays little per survey. The top sites in your country give you more ways to earn.

There are 3 ways to earn, and all of them are surveys. Tap one to read more.
Intro and profile surveys$1.50 once
The first time you open the app, you see the intro and profile surveys. You need to answer them to unlock all the other surveys.
There is no qualifying process for these two, so think of them as a bonus. They only take a couple of minutes, and once you finish both, you immediately earn $1.50. That is a good head start, in my opinion.
Paid surveysAround $0.20 to $0.5
After the intro surveys, you see all the surveys you can answer. You first answer qualifying questions. If you do not qualify, you do not get the reward and move on to the next survey. If you qualify, you answer the survey and claim the reward.
When I tested the app, there were not a lot of surveys, so you might not be able to earn regularly, depending on your country. I do like the user interface, because it is intuitive and straightforward.
Daily pollVery small
There is also a daily poll, where you answer one simple question. It does not pay a lot, but it is very quick and easy.
How much can you make?
It depends on how many surveys you can complete, and you do not control how many you get. Based on my experience, it depends on your location. If you live in the US, UK or Canada, you will have more opportunities than in other countries.
Most surveys pay around $0.20 to $0.5, which is not a very high amount, in my opinion. When I tested the app, the only survey that paid at least $1 was the intro survey. So the earning potential of SurveyMagic is quite low.
Payout methods and minimum
| Method | Minimum |
|---|---|
| PayPal | $5 |
| Prepaid Visa card | $5 |
| Amazon gift card | $5 |
Every survey you complete is credited to your SurveyMagic balance. Once you have at least $5, you can withdraw it. I like that PayPal is the main payment method, because it is one of the most convenient options. If you want more sites with this method, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
I did not reach a second payout, so I cannot tell you how fast SurveyMagic pays. You can withdraw on both Android and iOS.

There will not always be surveys, depending on your country. One reader also had trouble loading the app and getting a reply from support.

Hi Mikeal. Do these apps work in SA? Or not at all?.. I sent them emails, but they never responded back on my issues I have. One of my issues is pretty weired, because sometimes the app won’t even load up and then I must create a new password for it every time. Like today for instance the app sayd “ there are no surveys available” and that sucks quite a bit.
There will not always be surveys available, depending on the country you live in. Which country do you live in?
Whay cancelled may cash out please help them to may cash out please
You need to contact their support about this.
Great content, Mikel but how does it’s referral bonus work.
I will soon publish a video where I show more details.
