I tested SurveyLama thoroughly myself to see if its surveys are worth your time. Below is my test video, how much the surveys pay, how the payouts work, and the problems readers report.

Legit survey site that works in many countries
A decent second survey site with PayPal payouts. Not one of the absolute top survey sites.

The short answer
SurveyLama is legit. You earn rewards once you complete surveys, and you can cash out through PayPal. It is available in many countries, and it has quite a lot of surveys in many of them.
But surveys are the only way to earn, and the rewards are fairly low. SurveyLama claims you can earn up to $10 per survey. I have yet to see a $10 survey. It is not a bad survey site, but it is not one of the absolute top survey sites either.
- Available in many countries
- Offers payment via PayPal
- Has a good number of surveys
- Has a daily bonus system
- A very small reward even when you do not qualify
- Limited earning opportunities
- Fairly low rewards
- No mobile app
- A few ads on the site that you can click by accident
- Fewer surveys in smaller countries
My experience with SurveyLama

Is SurveyLama legit and safe?
Yes, SurveyLama is legit. You earn rewards once you complete surveys. But that does not mean it is the right site for you. Here is what you should know before you start.
- Do not expect $10 surveys
SurveyLama claims you can earn up to $10 per survey. While testing the site, I have yet to see it. The probability of it happening is very low, in my opinion.
- Surveys depend on your country
There are usually more surveys if you live in the US, Canada or the UK. Smaller countries get fewer, and some readers see no surveys at all. That is why I always recommend joining several sites.
- Answer honestly and consistently
If you lie in your profile, you will get banned. Like more or less all free earning platforms, SurveyLama can ask you to verify your identity before it pays you, to avoid fraud.
- You need PayPal
PayPal is the main payout method. If PayPal is not available in your country, SurveyLama should offer another payout method like gift cards.
- Watch out for the ads
There are a few ads in strategic locations on the site, so you might accidentally click some of them.
My takeSurveyLama is not a bad survey site, in my opinion. That being said, it’s also not one of the absolute top survey sites either. It is somewhere in the middle. However, I do like the fact that it offers a convenient payment method in PayPal and that it is available in many countries. I would recommend you join this site if you need an additional survey site to earn from.
How you earn on SurveyLama
There is 1 way to earn: paid surveys, with a small daily bonus on top. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveysMostly 10 to 50 LP
Log in to the member dashboard to see all the surveys you can answer. Click one, and a new browser tab opens on the site of CPX Research, the market research company SurveyLama works with. You answer a set of profiling questions to see if you qualify.
If you qualify, you answer the actual survey. If you do not, you still receive a very small reward and move on to the next one. Most surveys take 10 to 20 minutes and are not complicated.
Daily bonus20 LP a day
You receive 20 LP as a bonus for answering three surveys per day. It’s not much, but I do appreciate that they hand out bonus rewards simply for doing what you are supposed to do on the site.

How much can you make?
It depends on how many surveys you can complete, and that depends on the country you live in. In my experience, SurveyLama has quite a lot of surveys in many different countries.
Most surveys pay around 10 to 50 LP. Some pay around 100 to 200 LP, but they are few and far between. You will not always qualify, so you usually earn around $0.10 to $2 per survey, which is a decent rate, in my opinion.
Overall, the earning potential of SurveyLama is decent, but you should not expect to get $10 surveys very often (if ever).
Payout methods and minimum
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | 2,000 LP ($20 in some countries, $10 in others) | Paid in your local currency. Use the email address you signed up with. |
| Amazon gift cards | Shown in the payment section | Only in a few countries. Not available when I tested the site. |
The amount in the payment section is shown in your local currency. If PayPal is not available in your country, SurveyLama should offer another payout method like gift cards. For more sites with a convenient payment method, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
Is SurveyLama worth it in your country?
SurveyLama is available in many countries, with a separate website for each. Pick your country to see where SurveyLama stands on my list of the best sites there.

Buenas tardes, saludos.
It is likely just because there are not many surveys in your country or for your profile. Which country do you live in?
Ah ok, como mi perfil? Bueno en perfil solo coloque lo que me pidió. Debo llenar algo más?. Yo soy de Venezuela. De todas maneras gracias por la aclaración, saludos.
You just have to fill out your profile honestly. If you lie, you will get banned. But, in general, there are not many surveys in your country.

More or less all free earning platforms will ask for verification before they pay you. They have to do this to avoid fraud. So if you do not want to verify your identity, you should honestly not expect to be able to earn from these platforms.

How long has it been?
I have been doing surveys for about 12 years and I have never had such a bad time as I do with SurveyLama, for every 5 I try I am disqualified out of 4, I have been right to the end where they tell you that they just need some info about you for classification then just after beginning this a notice comes up saying that I have been disqualified, even though my profile says English, they are constantly sending me French, and when I ask about it I get no response, more then a week later but still surveys in French. the other day I went on the sight and I had a notice telling me that I had been disqualified from a few of my completed surveys because it was believed that my answers were not well thought out and were fraudulent, near as I could figure I lost about 4 surveys, and I have only been able to complete one survey since, I thought I would just finish my set collect my payout and be done with them but I can’t seem to get past 1040 points now I am seriously considering just leaving it there. buy the way I have company’s that I have been with from the start, Survey Lion, Isay, Web Perspectives, and more that I joined along the way.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
