Is SurveyHoney Legit or a Scam? (Full Review + Rating)

SurveyHoney Rating

SurveyHoney isn’t a bad survey site. However, it isn’t that good either. It simply doesn’t offer anything special that other survey sites don’t already offer. It has a lot of surveys available, but you will not qualify for most of them.

I joined SurveyHoney and tried its surveys to see if it is worth your time. It is legit, with many surveys and PayPal payouts, but you will not qualify for most surveys and you need $18 to cash out. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Legit, but you qualify for few surveys and need $18 to cash out

US only. Many surveys from partner sites, but I qualified for 2 of the 15 I tried. PayPal only.

Good for you ifYou live in the US and really need one more survey site, and you have time to try many surveys.

The short answer

SurveyHoney is legit. You can earn from its surveys, and it pays through PayPal. It is not a bad survey site. However, it is not that good either.

It has a lot of surveys, but you will not qualify for most of them: I qualified for 2 of the 15 I tried. And you need 1,800 points ($18) before you can cash out. I only recommend it if you really need an extra survey site.

What I like
  • Pays through PayPal
  • A lot of surveys available
  • You are paid for completing your profile, $3 in total
  • The website works well on mobile
What I don’t like
  • Low qualifying rate, so it takes a lot of time
  • High payout threshold: $18
  • PayPal is the only payout option
  • Only available in the US
  • No support or FAQ page before you join

My experience with SurveyHoney

I joined SurveyHoney, completed the profile surveys, tried the paid surveys and the daily polls, and checked the payout rules. I also made a video with an inside look. This is what I tested, and what I did not test.

Is SurveyHoney legit and safe?

Yes, SurveyHoney is legit. You can earn from its surveys. But that does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • You will not qualify for most surveys

There are many surveys, but each has a qualifying process, and most of the time you fail it. I qualified for 2 of the 15 surveys I tried. You can easily spend a lot of time trying surveys and earn very little.

  • A high payout threshold

You need 1,800 points ($18) to cash out, and PayPal is the only option. It takes a while before you can withdraw anything.

  • Your phone number is needed to cash out

SurveyHoney sends a code to your phone to confirm your location when you withdraw.

  • Reader reports of slow payment

In June 2025, a reader said it took forever to get paid, and that the account was closed after surveys kept screening out or showing errors. I have not tested a cashout myself.

  • The $3 in 3 minutes

The $3 on the homepage is for completing your profile surveys, once. Regular surveys pay much less, mostly under $1.

My takeIn my opinion, SurveyHoney isn’t a bad survey site. However, it isn’t that good either. It simply doesn’t offer anything special that other survey sites don’t already offer. I only recommend joining it if you really need additional survey sites. If you are looking for more efficient ways to earn extra cash, check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead.

How you earn on SurveyHoney

There are 3 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveys50–200 points each
SurveyHoney paid surveys

When you log in, you see all the available surveys. I was surprised by the number: more than 100. SurveyHoney does not make these surveys; they come from partner survey sites like Samplicio.us.

Each survey has a qualifying process, and most of the time you will not qualify. I qualified for 2 of the 15 surveys I tried. When you do qualify and complete a survey, you get the promised points. Most surveys pay around 50 to 200 points ($0.50 to $2), and most pay less than $1.

Profile surveys$3 in total, once
Completing your profile on SurveyHoney

On most survey sites, you earn nothing for completing your profile. On SurveyHoney, you do: $3 in total. That is the “$3 in your first 3 minutes” on its homepage. It might take a bit longer, but it is a good start. Do it first, because it also helps you get matched to surveys.

Just know that regular surveys do not pay at this rate.

Daily pollsChance at $100
SurveyHoney daily poll

Daily polls are short, usually 10 to 11 questions, and take about a minute. Complete 10 daily polls in a month, and you are entered into the monthly draw for $100. There is no guarantee you win, but it takes little time, so I would do the poll first each day you log in.

How much can you make?

It mostly depends on how many surveys you manage to complete, and that is not something you control. Complete your profile and answer surveys honestly.

Most surveys pay around 50 to 200 points ($0.50 to $2), and most pay less than $1. Surveys worth a dollar or more are few and far between. Because the qualifying rate is low, the earning potential is quite low, even though the pay per survey is decent. There will be days when you qualify a lot, but you need the time to go through many surveys.

Payout method and minimum

MethodMinimumBefore you cash out
PayPal1,800 points ($18)Confirm your location with a code sent to your phone

Every 100 points are worth $1. PayPal is the only payout method, and the threshold is quite high, so you cannot withdraw quickly. If you want to cash out sooner, see the fastest paying survey sites.

Who can join SurveyHoney?

SurveyHoney is only available in the US, and you must be at least 18. Sign up with the registration form, or with your Google or Facebook account. Then complete your profile surveys first, because they pay.

There is no app, but the website is optimized for mobile, so you can take surveys on your phone. The support page and FAQ are only available after you join. Questions before joining go to support@surveyhoney.com.
