Survey Pirate is an Android app that rewards you for offers and surveys, with PayPal from $3. I tested the app to see how it compares to the many apps that offer the same. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick first.

The short answer
Survey Pirate is a legit GPT app. You can really earn from it, and you can cash out through PayPal from $3.
But the rewards are low: most offers pay 50 to 200 coins, and they take a bit of time. It takes quite some time to reach the threshold. In my opinion, it is not worth your time.
- Pays through PayPal
- Low PayPal threshold: $3
- Available more or less worldwide
- The app is easy to use, without pop-up ads
- A decent number of offers at any time
- Low rewards
- Only available for Android
- You must verify your phone number before you redeem

Is Survey Pirate legit and safe?
Yes, Survey Pirate is legit, because you can really earn from it. But that does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- Low rewards for the time
Most offers pay 50 to 200 coins, and they take a bit of time to complete. You need 4,200 coins for a $3 PayPal cashout, so it takes many offers.
- Phone verification before you redeem
You must verify your phone number before you can redeem any reward. The app guides you through it in the Rewards section.
- Android only
There is no iOS version. If you use an iPhone, Survey Pirate is not for you.
- Follow every step of an offer
If you miss even one step, the offer is not completed and you do not get the reward.
My takeIn my opinion, Survey Pirate is not worth your time. The main reason why I say this is because of the low rewards it offers. Even though the app has a relatively low payout threshold, it will still take quite some time before you will be able to hit it and withdraw your earnings.
How you earn on Survey Pirate
There are 2 ways to earn. Paid offers are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Paid offers50 to 200 coins
When you log in to the app, you immediately see all the offers you can work on. Most of them are surveys. Some ask you to download an app and register, and a few ask you to play mobile games. Each offer shows how many coins you earn.
Tap an offer to see the full instructions. For a survey offer, you first answer a few qualifying questions. If you qualify, you answer the survey and get the promised reward.
There is a decent number of offers at any time, so you will not run out of things to do.
Referral program100 coins + 5%
Share your referral code. Your friend enters it during sign-up and gets 50 coins as a bonus. They must enter it within 12 hours of signing up.
When your referral has collected at least 200 coins from offers, you get 100 coins. After that, you also get a 5% commission every time they earn.

How much can you make?
It depends on how many offers you complete. There is a decent number of offers, so you can most likely earn regularly.
But the app pays low rewards. Most offers pay 50 to 200 coins, which is $0.05 to $0.20 per offer, and they take a bit of time. So the earning potential of Survey Pirate is very low, and you need to invest a lot of time to reach the payout threshold.
Payout methods and minimum
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $3 (4,200 coins) | Available wherever you live |
| Gift cards: Amazon, Apple, Walmart and more | Usually from $5 | In some countries, especially the US. Coins needed depend on the card. |
Verify your phone number in the Rewards section before you redeem. I like that it pays through PayPal. For more sites with this method, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
