I tested the RunTopia app to see if earning rewards for your steps is worth it. It is legit and can motivate you to move, but the rewards are low and there is no cash reward anymore. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend if you want cash.
Legit fitness app, but not a way to earn cash
You earn Sports Coins for your steps and daily tasks, and redeem them for a membership card, coupons and Lucky Wheel draws. There is no PayPal cash anymore.

The short answer
RunTopia is a legit fitness app that rewards you for your daily steps. You earn Sports Coins (SPC) and redeem them for a membership card, coupons and Lucky Wheel draws.
But the rewards are low: it takes 1,000 steps to earn 1 SPC, and RunTopia no longer pays cash through PayPal. If you are looking to earn extra cash, RunTopia is not the best app to use. It can be a decent app to help you stay active.
- The app is user-friendly
- A fun and interesting way to earn rewards
- Helps you stay motivated to live an active lifestyle
- Counts steps on a treadmill or in one spot
- Available globally
- Low rewards: 1 SPC per 1,000 steps
- Limited earning opportunities
- A daily cap of 50 SPC for basic members
- No cash: no more PayPal reward
- SPC expire every year

Is RunTopia legit and safe?
Yes, RunTopia is a legit fitness app that rewards you for your daily steps. But it is not a good way to earn money. Here is what you should know.
- It takes long to earn anything
With 1 SPC per 1,000 steps, you need thousands of steps for a decent number of SPC.
- No cash rewards
RunTopia no longer pays through PayPal. Your SPC become a membership card, coupons and Lucky Wheel draws.
- Your SPC expire
SPC you earn before December 31 expire on March 1 each year. RunTopia sends a reminder 2 weeks before, so redeem them in time.
- Turn off battery saving
With battery saving on, the GPS cannot track your steps properly. Steps count when the dot in the upper left corner turns green.
- Premium costs money
Premium raises the daily cap from 50 to 100 SPC for $3.99 a month. Only consider it if you are a serious runner who maxes out the daily SPC.
My takeIf you are looking to earn extra cash, RunTopia is not the best app to use. It no longer pays cash, and the rewards are low. But if you are just looking for an app to help you live an active lifestyle, it can be a decent choice. Think of the rewards as a bonus for being fit and active.

There are 2 ways to earn. Your daily steps are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Daily steps1 SPC per 1,000 steps
Turn off your phone’s battery-saving feature, press start and walk. The app even counts steps when you walk in one spot or on a treadmill. A green dot in the upper left corner shows your steps are being counted.
When you stop the tracker, you see how many SPC (Sports Coins) you earned. In my test, I got 1 SPC for more than a thousand steps, so it takes time to earn a sizeable amount.
Daily tasks3 to 4 SPC each
Daily tasks ask you to run a certain distance or burn a certain number of calories. When you meet the requirements, you receive the SPC promised, usually around 3 to 4 SPC per task.
Turn on RunTopia’s tracker when you start a task. Some tasks ask you to invite friends, so complete those too.
How much can you make?
Not much. It takes 1,000 steps to earn 1 SPC, so you have to take thousands of steps just to earn a decent number of SPC. Basic members can earn up to 50 SPC a day.
In my opinion, money is not the real value of RunTopia. It helps you stay motivated to live an active lifestyle. If you are just in it for the money, there are better and faster ways to earn extra cash online.

| PayPal cash | No longer offered |
