The short answer

Quotas Postal Surveys is legit. It pays you to send and receive postal mail, so it can test how long a letter takes to get from one place to another. It is quite different from your usual survey site.

It pays quite well for every task, around $10 to $15. But the availability of tasks is pretty low, and Quotas says from the start that there is no guarantee you will earn. You can sign up and wind up not receiving any opportunity at all. It is not a good site to join if you want to earn extra cash regularly.

What I like
  • Offers payment via PayPal
  • No payout threshold
  • Pays well per task
  • The tasks are easy: you mainly confirm dates
What I don’t like
  • There is no guarantee you will earn from this site
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Each task usually takes more than a week
  • No FAQ page, and the member area is not made for mobile

My experience with Quotas Postal Surveys

I signed up for the Quotas panel and checked how its tasks, payouts, support and member area work. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Quotas Postal Surveys legit and safe?

Yes, Quotas Postal Surveys is legit. It pays you to take part in its tests. But legit does not mean it is a good way to earn. Here is what you should know before you sign up.

  • No guarantee you will earn

After you register, Quotas tells you right away that it does not guarantee you can earn. Everything depends on whether Quotas is testing a postal service in your area. You can sign up and never receive an opportunity.

  • Tasks take a long time

Each task usually takes more than a week to finish before you receive your reward. So do not expect to earn a reward right away.

  • It does not always accept new members

Even when it is available in your country, Quotas does not always accept new members. It prefers members who live somewhere remote, not in metropolitan areas, because it is more likely to test there.

  • Panels can pause

In 2022, a reader who loved the tasks told me Quotas emailed that it was stopping its USA panel surveys for now. Check that there are tests in your country before you count on it.

  • Little information on the site

The site does a poor job of explaining how it works, and there is no FAQ page. For any question, you have to email or call the support team.

My takeQuotas Postal Surveys pays quite well for the task you have to do, considering how easy it is. However, there is no real guarantee you will earn from this site. So, I would say that it is not a good site to join if you are looking to earn extra cash regularly. I would suggest you spend more time on other sites that offer good earning potential.

Quotas may never send you a task. The top sites in your country let you earn regularly, wherever you live.

How you earn on Quotas Postal Surveys

There is only one way to earn: sending and receiving postal mail when Quotas tests your area.

Sending and receiving mailAround $10 to $15 per task
Quotas tasks

Quotas measures the time it takes for a piece of postal mail to be delivered from one location to another using a certain postal service. It does that by asking you to either send mail or receive mail.

When you join, you indicate where you live. When there is an opportunity in your area, Quotas lets you know by email, with all the instructions you need. If you are tasked with receiving mail, it starts sending mail to your address. Once you receive it, you log in and confirm the date you received the letter. If you are tasked with sending a letter, you send a test letter to the address in the email, then log in and enter the date you sent it.

Your main job is really just to confirm dates. Make sure to enter the date as soon as you receive the mail, or as soon as you have sent it.

How much can you make?

Quotas Postal Surveys pays quite well for every task you complete, usually around $10 to $15 per task. But the availability of tasks is pretty low, so you cannot expect to earn from it regularly. Quotas also makes it clear from the start that there is no guarantee you will earn.

It all depends on whether Quotas tests any postal services in your area. Quotas posts updates on where the next opportunity is on its blog, but this is not very reliable: when I checked, the last update was from 2018.

The bottom line is that Quotas Postal Surveys has a very low earning potential. There are better sites to earn from regularly.

How you get paid

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPalNoneWithdraw as soon as you receive your compensation
Amazon gift cardNoneInstead of PayPal
Donation to Doctors Without BordersNoneYou can donate your earnings instead

Once you finish a task, Quotas sends the compensation to your Quotas account right away. The fact that you can withdraw it right away makes up a bit for the long wait to receive the reward.

For other sites that pay quickly, see the fastest paying survey sites with a low minimum payout.

Who can join, and how

Quotas does not say exactly which countries it is available in. It says it has members from more than 100 countries, so it is available more or less worldwide. But it does not always accept new members, and it prefers people who live somewhere remote, because there is a chance it wants to test in that area.

To join the panel, you fill out the registration form with your mailing address. There are no fields for a username and password. You only get login details if there is an opportunity in your area and Quotas selects you to take part.

There is no point in using the site on a phone, because you only log in to confirm dates. It works in a mobile browser, but you have to zoom in to read it, since the member area is not made for mobile.

Hopefully they’ll start up again though.
