Opinionest Review: Worth It or Not? (An Inside Look)

Opinionest Rating

Opinionest is not a bad survey site. However, it also doesn’t give you a good reason to use it. The earning opportunities are quite limited, and the rewards are a bit low.

I tested Opinionest properly before giving you my verdict. It is legit and open more or less worldwide, but it has few surveys, only pays in gift cards and does not explain what its points are worth. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Is Opinionest legit and safe?

Yes, Opinionest is legit. You can really earn rewards from it. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Fewer surveys than popular sites

How many surveys you get mostly depends on where you live. The US, UK and Canada usually have the most; smaller countries do not have many. Don’t expect to earn regularly from it.

  • It does not explain its points

The website doesn’t explain exactly what its points are worth, or which rewards you can redeem. In my test, 100 points were roughly worth $1.

  • Gift cards only

There are no cash rewards. Which gift cards you can get depends on your country.

  • You will not always qualify

Each survey starts with qualifying questions. If you do not qualify, you move on to the next survey.

My takeOpinionest is not a bad survey site, in my opinion. However, it also doesn’t give you a good reason to use it. The earning opportunities are quite limited, and the rewards are a bit lower than on more popular survey sites. So it will take a long time to earn a significant amount from it. You are better off joining sites with better earning potential.

Opinionest has few surveys and no cash rewards. The top sites in your country give you more, most of them in cash.

How you earn on Opinionest

There are 3 ways to earn. Surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysMain earner
Opinionest surveys

Click the Survey link in the member dashboard to see the available surveys. Each one shows the reward, the estimated time and what the survey is about, so you can choose which to take first.

You first answer qualifying questions. If you qualify, you take the survey and get the points. The questions can take a few seconds to load, so don’t be alarmed if nothing appears right after you click Next.

Profile questions3 points each
How to join Opinionest

After you register, you must complete your profile before you can do anything else. You earn 3 points per question. It’s not much, but you get something for your time.

Referral program300 points + 5%
Opinionest referral program

Share your referral link or code. When your referral completes their first survey, you get 300 points. After that, you get a 5% commission on every survey they complete.

If they use your code, remind them to enter it after they sign up.

How much can you make?

It mostly depends on how many surveys you complete and how many referrals you get. You don’t have much control over the number of surveys, because it depends on where you live. Compared with more popular survey sites, it offers fewer surveys.

What you earn per survey also varies by country. In my test, a survey of around 15 minutes usually paid around $1 to $1.5. That is a pretty decent time-to-money ratio, but you will not always qualify, so be patient.

All ways to earn give you points, which you redeem for gift cards. The website does not explain the conversion rate; in my test, 100 points were roughly worth $1.
