Is Opinion Bureau legit and safe?
Yes, Opinion Bureau is legit. It pays you to take surveys. But that does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- A very long wait for your rewards
After a survey closes, it takes 45 days before the reward is initiated, and another 10 days before the money is in your account. Opinion Bureau says it uses this time to check the quality of the answers. I understand the argument, but I think this timeline is unreasonable.
- Few surveys
Most surveys are sent to you by email, and in my experience, the number of paid surveys is not impressive. Other users report very limited surveys too. Opinion Bureau alone will not give you many opportunities.
- You have to give your address
At the end of the unpaid profile survey, you have to give your address before you can continue. Your phone number is optional.
- Support can take patience
The ticket form does not say how long a reply takes. On Facebook, support resolved members’ issues quickly, but one member only posted there because support had not answered her. If you hear nothing, write again or post on its Facebook wall.
My takeOpinion Bureau might be worth considering as an extra site, as it has a low payout threshold, some good reward options, and it is very easy to use. But you should definitely also join some of the top paying survey sites in your country and not rely on Opinion Bureau alone. That would give too few opportunities and take too much patience to get paid.

Paid surveysFew surveys
First you take a profile survey to get access to other surveys. It says it takes 5 minutes; it took me around 8. You are not paid for it, and at the end you have to give your address.
Then you get access to your dashboard. In most cases, there will not be any surveys there, because most are sent to you by email. It is possible to find surveys once in a while, but it is not one of the survey sites with the most opportunities. It is quick to check, so it can work as an extra site.
PollsNot regular
Quick polls usually take only a few seconds. When I clicked to see the available polls, there were no live polls, and no closed polls either. That might be because of my location, so you may have more polls in your country. Just do not expect to earn from it regularly.
Referral programBy country
You get a small reward when a friend you invite joins and completes at least one survey. The reward depends on your country: $1 in the US, £1 in the UK, 1 AUD in Australia, ₹10 in India and R10 in South Africa.
Overall, it is quite a limited referral program compared to what many other survey sites offer.
How much can you make?
The earning opportunities on Opinion Bureau are quite limited. It is legit, so you can earn a bit extra by taking surveys here. But from what I have seen myself, and from what others say, you should not expect too much.
It might be worth joining as an extra site, but also join other survey sites, because Opinion Bureau alone gives too few opportunities.

Two readers could not sign up. In 2021, the join page was not available, which may have been because Opinion Bureau had run out of spots for that month.
A reader pointed out the referral reward in the US. It depends on your country, and this review now lists it per country.
