Mint Surveys Review: Worth It? (Not For Everyone)

Mint Surveys

The only advantage Mint Surveys offers over other survey sites is it has a disqualification bonus. Apart from that, there’s really nothing special about this survey site.

I joined Mint Surveys, a survey site for Australia and New Zealand, to see if it is worth your time. It is legit and gives you a point even when you are screened out, but surveys are few and you can only redeem a $20 gift card. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Partially Tested Last tested

Legit, but few surveys and a high threshold

One gift card option from 200 points (AU$20). Australia and New Zealand only.

Good for you ifYou live in Australia or New Zealand, shop at Coles Group & Myer stores, and want a secondary survey site.
Skip it ifYou want cash rewards, a low threshold, or a site you can use on your phone.

The short answer

Mint Surveys is legit. It rewards you for answering surveys, and it even gives you 1 point when you are disqualified.

But surveys are few and far between: you are lucky to get an invite once every two weeks. The only reward is a Coles Group & Myer gift card from 200 points (AU$20), and there are no cash rewards. So it takes a long time before you can redeem anything.

What I like
  • A simple way to earn rewards
  • 1 point even when you are disqualified from a survey
  • A $2 sign-up bonus
  • Decent pay per survey: around 10 to 50 points
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities: surveys only
  • Only one reward: a Coles Group & Myer gift card
  • High payout threshold: 200 points
  • The site is not mobile-friendly
  • You cannot change your password
  • Australia and New Zealand only

My experience with Mint Surveys

I joined Mint Surveys and compared it with the hundreds of other survey sites I have tested. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Mint Surveys legit and safe?

Yes, Mint Surveys is legit. It really rewards you for sharing your opinion. But it has some drawbacks you need to keep in mind.

  • Few surveys, high threshold

You are lucky to get a survey invite once every two weeks, and you need 200 points to redeem anything. So it takes a long time before you can redeem a reward.

  • Readers report slow rewards and no reply

One reader in 2023 said a reward still showed “processing” after more than a month, with no answer from support by email or phone. Another reader in 2025 could not reach Mint Surveys by email or through the website.

  • No cash rewards

The only reward is a Coles Group & Myer gift card. If you do not shop there, Mint Surveys is of little use to you.

  • Keep your welcome email

Mint Surveys emails you your username and password. The member dashboard does not let you change your password, so do not delete that email.

  • Not made for mobile

There is no app, and you have to zoom in to read and navigate the website on a phone. Use a laptop or desktop.

My takeThe only advantage Mint Surveys offers over other better survey sites is that it has a disqualification bonus. Apart from that, there’s nothing special about this survey site. That’s why I would say this site isn’t worth joining.

Mint Surveys has few surveys and no cash rewards. These sites in your country pay better.

How you earn on Mint Surveys

There is 1 way to earn: paid surveys. If there aren’t any available surveys, you won’t earn anything. Tap it to read more.

Paid surveys10 to 50 points

When you get a survey invite, you first answer a set of qualifying questions. If you qualify, you go on to the actual survey and get points when you complete it.

If you fail to qualify, you still get 1 point for your time. Not a lot of survey sites do this.

You will not find as many surveys here as on other survey sites. If you join, also join other sites to get more opportunities.

How much can you make?

A survey usually pays around 10 to 50 points, worth $1 to $5. That isn’t a bad rate, in my opinion.

But Mint Surveys doesn’t have a lot of surveys. You can consider yourself lucky if you get invited to a survey once every two weeks, and you have no other way to earn. So the earning potential is low, and it takes a long time to reach the 200-point threshold.
