MarketAgent Surveys Review – Worth It? (REAL Inside Look)

MarketAgent Rating

MarketAgent is available in 70+ countries. It is fairly easy to use and offers decent rewards. It can be worth considering but it is just not one of the absolute top survey sites.

I have tested MarketAgent since it was a much smaller site. It is legit and easy to use, and it pays in cash, but it is not one of the top survey sites. Below is what I found, and which survey sites I recommend first.

The short answer

MarketAgent is a legit survey site with a real company in Switzerland behind it. It is available in more than 70 countries, usually in your local language, and it pays in cash through PayPal or Skrill.

But there are not very many opportunities to earn, and the rewards could be higher. It has improved a lot over the years. It is only a good option if you want to join as many survey sites as possible.

What I like
  • Available in the local language in many countries
  • Pays out in cash
  • Has a user-friendly app
  • Shows the points and the time for every survey
  • A real company with its address and phone number on the website
What I don’t like
  • Not very many opportunities to earn
  • Rewards could be higher
  • You don’t always get an email for a new survey
  • The mini-surveys do not pay

My experience with MarketAgent

I joined MarketAgent when it was in far fewer countries, and I have retested it since its big update. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is MarketAgent legit and safe?

Yes, MarketAgent is legit. A real company is behind it, and it does not hide its location. But being legit does not mean it is worth joining. Here is what you should know.

  • Not very many opportunities

The number of surveys depends on your country and profile. Fill out your profile as soon as you join to get as many surveys as possible.

  • You can miss surveys

You don’t always get an email when there is a new survey, and many surveys only have a limited number of spots. Log in now and then, or turn on the browser notifications.

  • Mini-surveys do not pay

The mini-surveys are created by other members and are just for fun. They take a second each, but you earn nothing.

  • Payouts differ per country

The exact payout methods and thresholds can vary from country to country. Check what your country offers.

My takeMarketAgent has improved over the last couple of years, and it can be a way to earn a bit extra by sharing your opinion. However, there are better survey sites, in my opinion, so MarketAgent is only a good option if you want to join as many sites as possible.

How you earn on MarketAgent

There are 2 ways to earn, plus two features that help. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysMain earner
MarketAgent surveys examples

Paid surveys are the main way to earn. The site is easy to use and went through a big update that made it more modern and user-friendly.

How many surveys you get depends on your country and your profile, so fill out your profile as soon as you join. The surveys pay decently for your time, but MarketAgent is not among the highest-paying survey sites. I like that it clearly shows how many points you get per survey and how long each survey takes.

Referral program100 points each

Share your invitation link. When a friend joins and completes at least one survey, you can earn 100 points. Compared to many other refer-a-friend programs, the earning potential is not very high.

Mini-surveysNo pay
MarketAgent mini-surveys example

Mini-surveys take a second to answer, but you do not get paid for them. Other members create them, and you can create your own. I find them a waste of time and focus on the paid surveys.

Browser notificationsHelps you earn more
MarketAgent browser notifications

Turn on browser notifications in the “notifications” section. You then hear about new surveys right away and can take them before they fill up. Whether that is useful or annoying is your choice.

How much can you make?

To be honest, you should not expect to make a lot of money on MarketAgent. The number of opportunities varies from country to country.

It offers a decent number of surveys and decent pay per survey, and this has improved over the last few years. As an extra survey site, it can be worth considering.

Payout methods and minimum

MethodMinimum
PayPal1,000 points (around $10 or €10)
Skrill1,000 points (around $10 or €10)
Donation to charity1,000 points

The exact payout methods and thresholds can vary from country to country. The threshold is fairly easy to reach, and the points system is much clearer than when I first joined.

If PayPal is your preferred method, there are PayPal survey sites with better rewards, in my experience.

  2. Good, informative post, Mikael.

I hadn’t heard of MarketAgent prior to reading your review. I looked into taking online surveys to earn money a few years ago, and I even was able to take a few.

The payouts are just too low to be worthwhile, in my opinion. If you get 200 points for a 10 minute survey, which you said was about $1.25 (way lower for PayPal), that comes out to making $7.50 per hour if you can do six. That’s the problem with survey sites, in my opinion. You just can’t make much money for your time.

    • Thanks for your comment Grant,

I agree that if you want to get paid through PayPal, the surveys on MarketAgent are not worth the time.

There are however many sites where it can be a great way to make some extra money. If the goal is to make a full-time income, surveys are not a good option, but if the goal is to make some extra cash on the side, paid survey is in my opinion one of the best ways to do this, as anybody can do it, there are no investment or risk, and you can start earning from day one.

      All the best,

  3. Interesting! Marketagent as written in the summary is not a 100% way to make money online. It could be looked upon as an online business when you can invite as many people as you want, which you will be compensated for.

It does however sound that MarketAgent should be improved upon for it to be a good option.

    • Hi John,

Yes it is true that you can make some extra money by inviting others to join MarketAgent. But with the small commission they pay you for it, you would have to invite a lot of people to make any real money. But still nice that they have the option to increase the earnings a little with this option.

      All the best,
      Mikael

  4. Hi Mikael
Thanks for sharing this post. This seems to be one of the few survey sites that actually pays out cash, although the amount is quite small. It does sound like they have a bit of work to do before they become a great survey platform. I think I’ll take a look into some others instead. Thanks for sharing!

    Cheers
    James
