Jagger App Review: Worth It? (Real Inside Look)

Jagger Rating

Jagger is not a bad survey app. However, it is not that good either. The fact that it doesn’t offer cash rewards is a big disadvantage, in my opinion.

I tested the Jagger app and made a video that shows how it works. It is a legit survey app that plants a tree for every survey you complete, but it pays only in gift cards, the rewards are low, and you need $20 to cash out. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick first.

Legit and easy, but gift cards only and a $20 threshold

Surveys pay around 30 to 40 coins ($0.30 to $0.40). Gift cards from 2,000 coins ($20). No cash.

Good for you ifYou like that a tree is planted for every survey, and gift cards are fine for you.
Skip it ifYou want cash or PayPal, or a low payout threshold.

The short answer

Jagger is a legit survey app: you can earn rewards from it. The app is user-friendly, works on Android and iOS, and pledges to plant one tree for every survey you complete.

But it does not offer cash rewards, only gift cards, and you need 2,000 coins ($20) to redeem one. Most surveys pay only around 30 to 40 coins, so it takes a while to reach the threshold. Jagger is not a bad survey app, but it is not that good either.

What I like
  • Offers an easy way to earn
  • The app is user-friendly
  • Available for Android and iOS
  • A tree is planted for every survey you complete
  • Survey Boost can double your rewards per survey
What I don’t like
  • Low rewards
  • Doesn’t offer cash rewards
  • High payout threshold
  • Unclear which countries can join

Is Jagger legit and safe?

Yes, Jagger is legit: you can earn rewards from it. But that does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know before you install it.

  • Gift cards only, no cash

You redeem your coins for gift cards, and which ones depends on your country. Amazon is the most common. There is no PayPal or other cash option.

  • A $20 threshold

You need 2,000 coins ($20) to redeem a gift card. With most surveys paying 30 to 40 coins, it takes a while to get there.

  • You will not qualify for every survey

After the profile surveys, each survey starts with qualifying questions. There is a good number of surveys, but you will not always qualify, so you cannot earn regularly.

  • Unclear where it works

Jagger is said to be available in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, but its FAQ says it is available globally. Search for it in your app store to check.

  • Read about Media Research first

Media Research options like Ads Tracking and TV & YouTube Research earn you prize draw entries and Survey Boost. Read about them in Jagger’s FAQ before you turn them on.

My takeIn my opinion, Jagger is not a bad survey app. However, it is not that good either. The fact that it does not offer cash rewards is a big disadvantage, and it offers low rewards, so it takes a while to reach the relatively high threshold. If the tree you help plant with every survey matters a lot to you, signing up is not a bad thing. But if you are in it for the money, there are better options out there.

Jagger pays in gift cards only, from $20. The best paid survey apps pay cash and have lower thresholds.

How you earn on Jagger

There are 2 ways to earn. Surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysAround 30 to 40 coins
How to earn from Jagger

You start with the profile surveys. They help the app pick which surveys to send you, you do not have to qualify for them, and they earn you small rewards. There is a decent number of them.

After that, you move on to the actual surveys. Each one starts with qualifying questions. If you do not qualify, you move on to the next survey, if there is one. When you complete a survey, you earn coins.

Answer all the profile surveys right after you sign up, so you get more surveys.

Media Research and Survey BoostPrize draws and up to 100% boost

Media Research has three options: Ads Tracking, TV & YouTube Research and Outdoor Media Research. You enable the ones you want, and the app does the rest. It is a potentially passive way to earn.

Each option you enable earns you entries to Jagger’s prize draws, and turns on Survey Boost. Survey Boost gives you 10% more rewards per survey by default, and it can go up to 100% the longer you keep it active and keep answering surveys.

You can read more about Media Research on the FAQ page of Jagger’s website.

How much can you make?

It depends on how many surveys you complete. There is a decent number of surveys at any time, but most of them pay only around 30 to 40 coins, which is around $0.30 to $0.40 per survey.

At the maximum Survey Boost, you effectively double what you earn per survey. That is a nice boost, but the earning potential of Jagger is still relatively low, because the base rewards are low.

How you get paid

MethodMinimumNotes
Gift cards (mostly Amazon)2,000 coins ($20)Which gift cards you get depends on your country
Cash or PayPalNot availableJagger only offers gift cards

Every survey you complete earns coins, which you redeem for gift cards. The payment system is relatively simple, but there are no cash rewards, and the threshold is relatively high.

Jagger also pledges to plant one tree for every survey you answer, through Eden Reforestation Projects. It is a nice bonus, but I do hope the app lives up to its promise.
