I tested iShopFor Ipsos to see if its mystery shopping jobs are worth your time. It is legit and pays decently per job through PayPal, but you need to live in a big city to find enough jobs. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Legit mystery shopping, but only worth it in a big city
Around $10 to $30 per job plus your expenses back, paid to PayPal. In a small town, you will hardly find any jobs.

The short answer
iShopFor Ipsos is legit. It is the mystery shopping program of Ipsos, and you really earn money for the jobs you complete. It pays quite well per job, through PayPal.
But how much you earn depends on where you live. In a big city, you can almost always find jobs. In a small town, you will be lucky to see even one a month. Every job also asks you to buy something first, which is reimbursed after approval. Only join if you live in a big city.
- Pays a decent amount per job
- Pays through PayPal, with no threshold
- Expenses for the job are reimbursed
- Available in more than 80 countries
- Limited earning opportunities outside big cities
- You have to spend money first
- The mobile app can be glitchy
- Sign-up asks for your tax ID or Social Security Number
My experience with iShopFor Ipsos
I signed up on Shopmetrics, one of the two iShopFor Ipsos platforms, and looked at the jobs, the job details, the application steps, the app and the support. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is iShopFor Ipsos legit and safe?
Yes, iShopFor Ipsos is legit. You really earn money for the mystery shopping jobs you complete. But being legit does not make it a good fit for everyone. Here is what you should know.
- Few jobs outside big cities
Jobs depend on your location. In a large city, you can almost always find jobs. In a small town, you will be lucky to see even one a month. That is what I noticed when I tested it.
- You pay first, and are reimbursed later
Every job asks you to make a purchase or pay for a service. iShopFor Ipsos pays you back, but only when your report is reviewed and accepted. If you are not prepared to spend money, this is not for you.
- Strict rules and deadlines
Follow every instruction. If you miss one step, you do not get paid. You have 8 hours after the job to submit your report, and no later than 11:59 PM that day, or the job is marked incomplete.
- Personal information at sign-up
The sign-up asks for your mobile number and your Tax Identification Number or Social Security Number. If you are not comfortable sharing that, this is not for you.
- The app can be glitchy
The app is easy to use, but it has a low rating in the app stores, and most users say it is glitchy. You need it to prepare for jobs and to submit documents.
My takeIn my opinion, iShopFor Ipsos is a decent mystery shopping platform, since it pays quite well for every job you complete, and it pays through PayPal. But I would only recommend joining if you live in a big city, because that is where most of the jobs are. In a small town, you are better off finding other ways to earn.

There are 2 kinds of mystery shopping jobs. Web and phone jobs were more common in my test. Tap one to read more.
Physical store jobsAround $10–$30
Log in to see the jobs in your city. Each job shows the reward and the store location. Click a job for the full instructions, pick the date you want to do it, and press “Apply”. You usually hear at least two days before that date if you are accepted. Check the status in “My Applications”.
Before the job, download the app and take the certification quiz if the job has one. At the store, act like a normal shopper so the staff cannot tell you are a mystery shopper. That is the most important rule.
After the job, you have 8 hours to submit your report, no later than 11:59 PM that day. Expect to hear back within a week.
Web and phone jobsAround $10–$30
These work the same way, but you shop online or over the phone instead of in a store. In my test, there were more web and phone jobs than store jobs.
You apply, pass the certification quiz if there is one, do the tasks, and submit your report and documents. If your submission is approved, you get the promised pay. See also the best mystery shopping sites.
How much can you make?
You can usually expect around $10 to $30 per job. That is a decent rate, in my opinion. How much you make in total depends on how often you can complete a job, and that depends mostly on where you live.
In a large city, you can almost always expect jobs. In a small town, you will be lucky to see even one job a month. If you live in a small town, I highly recommend you do not even bother signing up. That is what I noticed when I was testing it.
