ySense Review 2026: Is It Legit? My Tested Results and Payment Proof

ySense Rating

ySense is one of my favorite survey sites, and you can also earn in other ways. It has a low payout threshold, and you can join from most countries and overall it gives quite good opportunities.

I have used ySense since it was called ClixSense, I still use it, and I have been paid many times. Below is my payment proof, how you earn, how the payouts work, and what you should know before you join.

The short answer

ySense is legit, and it does pay you. I have been paid many times myself, and I show my payment proof in the video below. It is one of my favorite survey sites, and you can also earn in other ways.

It has a low payout threshold, and you can join from most countries. But you often have to click on several surveys to find one you qualify for, and not all countries have many opportunities. Since the number of paid offers was cut, it takes a bit more time to earn a significant amount.

What I like
  • Good opportunities in a wide range of countries
  • Nice bonus, if you have a daily activity
  • User-friendly
  • Good rewards in relation to time spent
  • You get paid in cash
  • Many payout methods to choose from
What I don’t like
  • Often, you have to click on several surveys to find one you qualify for
  • Not all countries have many opportunities
  • The paid offers and offerwalls are now very limited
  • Support says a reply can take up to 10 business days

My experience with ySense

I am a long-term member, I have tested ySense thoroughly, and I still use it. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is ySense legit and safe?

Yes, ySense is legit and safe. I have been paid by it many times. But that does not mean it is the right option for everyone. Here is what you should know before you start.

  • You will not qualify for every survey

Survey availability depends on where you are from, your age and more. Often, you have to click several surveys to find one you qualify for. After a while, you learn which surveys you usually qualify for, and you can ignore the others.

  • Phone verification

ySense asks for your phone number to verify your account. That is normal: it has to ask for verification to avoid fraud. Prepaid and VOIP numbers are not accepted.

  • Only from the country you signed up in

You cannot take surveys from another country than where you signed up, so you cannot use ySense while traveling. Registering with a different country, or using a VPN, is fraud and gets you banned.

  • Fewer offers than before

ySense used to have a large number of offerwalls. Now the offers are very limited, so it takes a little bit more time to earn a significant amount.

  • Support can be slow

Support says a reply can take up to 10 business days. In my experience, it is usually faster, but sometimes it takes a bit of patience.

My takeySense is very user-friendly, and it is one of the sites where I have seen great results myself. It is definitely a legit site where you can make some extra money, and in my experience, it is definitely worth it. That is why it is one of my top recommendations when it comes to free and easy ways to make some extra money on the side online.

How you earn on ySense

There are 6 ways to earn. Surveys are the best one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysBest earner
ySense survey examples

ySense has partnered with many survey providers, so it usually gives plenty of daily survey opportunities. The rewards vary a lot from survey to survey and from country to country, but overall they pay quite well compared to many other survey sites.

Right below the surveys, you find the survey routers ySense has partnered with. They can be a great way to find extra opportunities.

There is also a daily poll at the bottom of the survey page. It takes a second to answer and pays $0.01. Make sure to do it every day.

Paid offersVery limited now
ySense offers overview

Offers can include trying products or services, downloading apps, playing games, signing up for websites, watching videos and entering free contests. Before you take one, you see the conditions and the reward.

ySense used to have a large number of offerwalls. Now the offers are very limited, so you won’t earn a lot from this. Read all the conditions before you take an offer.

Playtime rewards (app only)Paid per minute

In the ySense app, go to “Discover” and choose “Playtime rewards”. You download games and get paid for every minute you play. ySense shows clearly how much you get per minute and how much you can earn from each game before you download it.

The playtime rewards on ySense are one of the best I have seen out of all the apps I have tested that offer such rewards.

Daily Checklist BonusExtra on top
ySense Daily Checklist Bonus progress

Take 2 surveys or 2 offers in a day, and you get a bonus added to your account at the end of that day. Your account page shows how close you are to the bonus.

It used to be up to 16% of your earnings. The mechanics have changed since, and the website does not clearly explain how it works now. But it is still not that difficult to qualify.

Referral program10% commission

You earn a 10% commission on what the people you refer earn. ySense pays it, so it does not affect what your referral earns. You only earn from your own referrals, not from their referrals.

It used to be 20% to 30%, but this changed without notice.

ySense Watch (US only)$0.02–$0.03 a round
ySense Watch video topics

Choose a video topic and watch videos for a set time. Usually you watch 7-10 videos to get your reward, which is usually $0.02-$0.03. It is not huge, but it is quite good compared to other sites that pay for videos.

It is only available in the US. In other countries, the Adscend offerwall lets you earn by watching videos, but you will not earn a lot.

Click to Check Out ySense for Yourself

How much can you make?

It depends on how many of the opportunities you use, your country, your profile and the time of year. In general, the rewards for surveys are pretty good in relation to the time spent.

ySense used to be great, but since the number of paid offers has been significantly reduced, it takes a little bit more time to earn a significant amount. It still has decent earning potential.

It will not make you a full-time income. There will not be enough tasks for that. If you expect this, you will probably be disappointed.

Payout methods and minimums

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$10Usually a couple of days, up to a week
Amazon gift cards$5 (€1 for Amazon DE)Available in all countries
Steam gift cardsShown when you redeemMainly in European countries
Payoneer, Skrill, AirTMShown when you redeemCash. Payoneer is what I use most.
Other gift cardsShown when you redeemIn some countries

You earn dollars for everything you do, so you always see exactly what you get. Most survey rewards show in your account right away. Surveys with an extra high reward are marked with a red flag and have to be approved first. Rewards for other offers often take 5-15 minutes to show.

Once you request a payout, it usually takes 3-5 days before the money is in your chosen account. The only fee ySense charges is the one you see inside ySense. Skrill or your bank may charge their own fees when you move the money on.

In my video at the start of this review, I show step by step how to withdraw, and my payment proof.

My tips to earn more on ySense

Do not give up when a survey is not available to you. Sometimes you have to click several surveys before you find one you can take. Over time, you learn which kinds of surveys you usually qualify for.

Visit the site often. New surveys and tasks appear and disappear throughout the day. You can also install the ySense Addon for your browser to stay updated without logging in often. The app helps too, because some surveys fill up quickly.

Expect less on weekends. There are usually fewer surveys on weekends and during the main holidays. There are still opportunities, just not as many.

Is ySense worth it in your country?

ySense is available in more or less all countries, but the opportunities vary a lot by country. Pick your country to see where ySense stands on my list of the best sites there.

What 177 readers told me

This review has 177 comments: 90 from readers and 87 replies from me. These are the four things readers ask about most.

From Kenya, Singapore, South Africa, the Philippines, Pakistan, Oman and more. You can join from more or less anywhere, but in some countries surveys are limited. Use the other earning methods too.

Payout methods, speed and fees13 comments

Many questions date from before ySense offered PayPal. PayPal usually takes a couple of days, up to a week. The only ySense fee is the one you see inside your account.

Phone verification and account problems9 comments

The phone check is normal. Prepaid and VOIP numbers are not accepted. A few readers reported a closed account or a survey that was not paid. Only ySense support can help with those.

Not qualifying for surveys6 comments

Not qualifying happens to everyone. It depends on what the researchers are looking for, your country and your profile.

“I just signed up for ySense and they asked for my phone number for verification purpose. Is it the normal procedure?”

Reader, March 2024
Mikael: Yes, that is normal. They have to ask for verification to avoid fraud.

“I’m a male at 40 and so many surveys are rejecting me and saying I don’t qualify.”

Reader in South Africa, August 2023
Mikael: Some surveys require a specific age but at 40 there should be plenty of options available for you.

“many people are encountering the same issue as Navin with Playtime Rewards. Could you share if yours is functioning properly or not?”

Reader, May 2024
Mikael: It works fine for me. If you have technical problems, you need to contact their support.

  13. Good day sir, thanks for your in-dept reviews on these survey sites, they have been very helpful.

I need help on ysense survey. I have managed to earn arounf $50 that i tried to cashout via paypal. But unfortunately i haven’t been ablt to do that, as i continuosly get an error message, (An error occurred You must have a valid PayPal account to redeem a PayPal card. Please check your email, first and last name).

I find this frustrating because my paypal account is verified (i have used it to do transactions on other sites without issues). Also, i have verified and confirmed that i used the same email, first and last name on ysense profile as that on my paypal.
I have tried to contact their customer several times but no reply.

Please help with any idea on how to go about this?, probably how i can sucessfuly contact their constumer care.

Thanks in advance as i await your response.

    • Only their support can help with this. But you might have to wait a few days to get a reply. But if you have done everything honestly, you have nothing to worry about as you will then get your money and get help.

      • Thanks for your reply. I guess i have to wait and then resend message to them, although i have been waiting for more than 10 business days. And yeah, everything was honestly and perfectly done.
I did use the Skrill option to withdraw $10, and i actually recieved it on my skrill account after 3 business days.
The only issue is that i struggle to withdraw from Skrill, hence my reasons for trying to use the Paypal option.

    • It does not really matter which country that has the most surveys as you can only legally take surveys from the country you live in. So what you need to know is which are the best survey sites for your country. If you tell me the country you live in, I will suggest the best options.

    • You have to use your real name to be able to get paid. I have used ySense for years and never had any problems using my real name there.

    • Sites like this are not meant to be a full-time job, so you cannot just work 8 hours a day there. There will not be enough tasks for that.

But how much you can earn depends on a lot of things like the country you live in, the time of year, your profile, and more.

  15. Ofcourse it is legit. But getting survey is too difficult as most of the panelists are initially rejected by the survey providers like Samplicio, Your Survey, Cint etc. I am sure that rejections are deliberate and only their pet panelists get a chance to complete surveys. It is a highest degree of autocracy.

        • I often do not qualify for surveys I try to take. It is a part of taking surveys. But I just shared a link with you in another reply about what you can do to get the best chances of qualifying for surveys.

But that they do not accept everyone for every survey has nothing to do with racism. You have to understand that the only reason we can get paid to take surveys is because the companies can use this info to improve services. And in some countries and for some profiles, there is just a bigger need for feedback. That is just how it is and has nothing to do with racism.

And if you have a hard time qualifying for surveys, then make sure to also use some of the other earning methods many sites offer.

    • Thanks for sharing your opinion Dipak. But why do you think it is a scam? The word scam seems to be used very loosely online today as soon as something might not live up to what someone expects. So when calling something a scam it is important to have arguments for it, in my opinion.

Personally, I have been paid by ySense many times and earned quite a bit as you can also see in the video in the review above. And I know many other people that have also been paid by ySense many times.

Like any other GPT site, it does, however, not have equal opportunities for all countries even though it is available worldwide but that does not mean it is a scam. And as you can see, it does actually pay out.

But if you have more information and experiences you would like to share, I would love to hear them.

  19. I am temporarily shifted to UK for 3 months stay and created my ysense account so that to earn some extra bucks in my spare time, However after earning 100 USD from ysense i tried to get my payment through skrill. Ysense is now asking for my UK mobile number for verification whereas i am using my country’s mobile operator on international roaming. what are the other options to try, please.

    Reply
    • I would suggest you either ask a friend with a UK number to help you out or to get a UK number while you are there.

They have quite strict control as many people try to fake which country they live in to get more surveys and asking to verify it with a phone number is a good way to make sure people actually are in the country they say.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

  20. I tried this site for a few months on occasion but had no luck in qualifying for surveys. I probably tried to qualify for around 200 surveys and got my balance to $4.14. Total waste of my time. Maybe it is my demographics that they are not looking for. I am from the USA and am 64 and retired. I don’t have these problems to this extent on other sites I am using. I enjoy reading your reviews but I guess it is a different experience for each user.

And really glad to hear you in general like my reviews – appreciate the feedback and you taking the time to share your experiences.

  21. Time to update your review, this has turned in to a fraud now, ysense is nothing like clixsense, just completed a survey and didn’t get paid for it, similar thing happened two days ago and I created a ticket in their help center giving them survey no and screenshots but they replied asking for screenshots and survey no again, I did reply then again, but also received same reply asking for SS and survey no again, so basically some bot is replying again and again.

Again apart from opinionworld surveys on ysense no other survey pays, they will make you complete the survey without payment, yes clixsense was great but now after updating to ysense their system has gone fraud, both yoursurveys and toluna will make u compete surveys without payment, soon ysense they will stop paying cashouts.

So better to stay away from this fraud website

Thanks Mikael, great article, but i do have a question, i do live in spain for about 6 months, and was born in the netherlands, by other sites i do get then most surveys in spanish, i do not speak spanish very well, so i can not make those surveys…Is it by ClixSence also that, i sign up in the country Spain, so i get surveys in spanish?
Are there sites, that have surveys in the Language english only??
Thanks allready, you have some great reviews 😉

    • Hi Andreas,

Glad to hear you like my reviews.

I have actually been in the same situation as I lived in Spain for a while at some point:-) Most sites will, however, detect the country you are in and give you surveys in that language. But there are sites that also give English surveys no matter the country you are from. Most of the sites that do that are in my experience the GPT sites.

Also, on those sites you can find other ways to earn so even if you do not offer surveys in English for you all the time, you can use some of the other earning methods.

      Hope this helps.

  23. Thank you, Mr. Mikael, for the good review on the paid survey works, especially on Clixsense. I am a Ghanaian and desperately looking for some side income. I tried registering on the Clixsense website but was not allowed with the following information “Access to this page has been denied. Access via a Proxy/VPN/VPS is not permitted”. What is, therefore, the reason? Is there any other way of registering for Clixsense? Please let me know.

    • If you are using a proxy on your computer that will give a warning as that can be used to hide your location and they do not allow this. It might be because you have tried to access it from a connection that is using a proxy without you being aware.

I would suggest you to write the ClixSense support and ask them. The support there is usually quite helpful.

Hope this helps and feel free to keep me updated about how it goes.

    Appreciate your reply.

    • Hi Mae,

Yes, feel free to ask about the Figure Eight tasks. It is not the earning method I use the most there but I will be happy to answer if I can.

About the payment: which option is the best depends on your personal preferences. I am using Payoneer, and it works great and is as easy as PayPal. I have also once used Skrill, which also works fine. But I just prefer using Payoneer.

Hope this helps and just ask what you wanted to know about Figure Eight and I will do my best to answer.

    • Sorry to hear that Michal. That is definitely not how it should work.

Can I ask which country you live in? Because in some countries it is harder than others to find available surveys.

What I found when I first started using ClixSense was that some of the survey providers I just never qualified for. But others I qualified quite frequently for. So after having tested a while, I figured out which ones were worth using and then only spend my time on the ones I know I have the best chance for.

But your experience definitely sounds frustrating.

ClixSense actually has quite good opportunities in South Africa so definitely one of the sites worth joining if you live there.

Of payout methods you can, for example, use Payoneer or Skrill. Personally, I use Payoneer and it works just as easily as PayPal. Once you get your money into your Payoneer account from ClixSense, you can easily transfer them to your personal bank account.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Yes, you can join ClixSense from anywhere. They offer all kinds of different surveys about products, services, etc. where you can share your opinion on these topics.

Be aware that in Kenya that amount of surveys might be limited and it can take some patience to find the ones you qualify for. So it is a good idea to also check out the other earning options ClixSense has – especially the task through Figure Eight.

In the Phlippines you can choose between getting paid through Payoneer, Skrill or Tango Card. You can get a free account on both Payoneer and Skrill – once you transfer your money from ClixSense to one of these accounts, you can then transfer them to your local bank account.

I have written a whole article about ClixSense payout methods, where I explain the different ways to get paid. You can check that out to get more details.

I’ve tried using Skrill, I was charged S$50 bank fee for the withdrawal to my local SGD bank account which almost wiped all my ClixSense earnings.

    Reply
    • Hi Donny,

That was a very high bank fee. The thing is that it does not necessary have anything to do with Skrill or Payoneer. The fee from their side is not very high. When the fee is as high as you mention, my guess is it is a fee charged by your local bank. I cannot therefore not say what the fee would be for using Payoneer – you need to ask your local bank about it, and ask why they charge such a high fee.

I can however say that I am often getting money from Payoneer transferred to my local bank account (in Europe), and there is no extra fee from the bank. So I think the best for you is to talk to your bank.

You will earn from them from day 1. The percentage you will earn however depends how many people you have referred, who have been active within the past 30 days. Active simply means that the person has taken part in a survey, taken an offer, or done a Figure Eight task.

I live in Singapore. May I know is Clixsense available in Singapore? I only have Paypal. I do not have Payoneer, Skrill, Dwolla and Tangocard. Are there other modes of payment?

    • Hi Magdalene,

Yes ClixSense is available in Singapore, and it gives pretty good opportunities there. If you want a Payoneer or Skrill account, it is free to get, and it is easy to sign up. Dwolla is not a payout option in Singapore for ClixSense, and Tango Card not really a good option in Singapore. But both Payoneer and Skrill are good options.

However, if you only want to join sites that pay out through PayPal, ClixSense is not the right site for you. Then you can instead check out my list of the best survey sites in Singapore, where you can get an overview of which sites offer this payout method.

One question, since you listed your top 10 survey Co’s, has there been a change?, in other words, is this list still as current as since you last wrote it?
I know there is always a new company setting up here and there, what I also tend to find is in the UK the rankings seem not to take effect here. The U.S seem to take a lead. I once thought Toluna is UK based. Curious I guess.

Yes there are new sites starting up all the time. I keep testing sites, and I adjust the top 10 list all the time, if I find any sites that deserve to be on the list – so yes it is updated.

US is definitely the country that has some of the best opportunities for paid surveys, but luckliy you can also find plenty of good sites in other countries. I have actually also made a list specifically with the best survey sites in the UK. Toluna is available more or less worldwide. And it is big in the UK. I have also made a specific article about Toluna UK, if you want more details about that. But it is relevant for more or less any other country as well.

  32. Hi, Mikael.
I am a former member who used clixsense about 7 or 8 years ago as a way to make a bit of extra money for myself. Finally, I decided that I simply did not like it, viewing it as too time consuming as frankly, I was to eventually look for other ways to earn some income online.

I was quite interested as I began to read your review of clixsense that you stated that this company has recently incorporated major changes in its philosophy about members earning money at the site.

With the continuing growth in usage of Smart Phones, and although clixsense does not have an app of its own, the fact that members can still make money online through using mobile devices is a major positive for this company.

in the past I distinctly remember that clixsense did have a bit of issue in providing survey opportunities for members. Remember this was circa 2010. In fact back then I felt as if clixsense regarding its availability of surveys and being able to qualify for them was among the worse I had experienced with any similar site.

At clixsense, I also hated doing tasks which came with accompanying advertisements that you had to sit through first in order to eventually be rewarded. It was a feeling going through me of my wasting valuable time having to sit through ads that I did not care one iota about. The money earned was not equivalent to time lost as there are only 24 hours/day.

As you did not mention this at all, perhaps clixsense has done away with them. Perhaps not.

This site has improved although in my opinion a somewhat similar site in which multiple opportunities to earn extra income called SwagBucks is still the best site online regarding this type of venture.

Great to hear a bit about how ClixSense was in the past and get a sense of how it has developed. I have not tried any tasks where I first had to watch a bunch of ads. There are of course ads at the site but in realtion to what you are telling about, it seems like the site no longer has this, which is great. The ads that are there now are not something that bothers me and they do not disturb the experience.

And you are right that SwagBucks is definitely a very great site, and also one of my top choices. The only disadvantage Swagbucks has is that it is not available for so many countries. So many countries cannot join. ClixSense is available worldwide and also has some great opportunities for many countries that other sites do not have opportunities for, which is great. But both sites are great, and for people that live in a country where you can sign up for both, I definitely would recommend that.

Anyways, thanks again for sharing your experiences.

      • Hi Cinzia,

How much you can earn on ClixSense is difficult to say exactly as it depends on your activity and how many surveys and offers you qualify for.

Sometimes there will be no Figure Eight tasks available. Then just try again the next day. It is the same with surveys and offers. New ones are added all the time sp just because there are no options one day does not mean there will not be the next day or later the same day.

    • Hi Milar,

Thanks for your feedback. Glad to hear you like my website.

ClixSense is one of the survey sites that allows people from the most different countries to sign up, and it is also open to people from most African countries (except for Niger). Exactly how many surveys and opportunities that will be available once you join is difficult to say as it can vary a lot from country to country. But you should be able to join and try it out for your specific country unless you live in Niger.

About the ClixSense payout methods, I personally prefer Skrill and Payoneer, as they are the cheapest from where I live and are both very reliable services. Skrill is available in Africa, except from in Sudan, South Sudan and Eritrea. Payoneer is available in over 200 countries, so you have to check your specific country on their website. Or let me know the exact country and I will check for you. I have written a whole article just about the ClixSense payout methods that you can check out to get a bit more information about the different options.

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have more questions.

        • Hi Milar,

Strange that they wrote they have send you a card just because you signed up. Usually the card is something you have to actively order once you have signed up. You can order the card as one of the ways to withdraw money on your payoneer account. There are some fees associated to using the card so it might not be the right solution for you. In my case, it is for example a better solution to transfer to my bank account, but it depends on the situation and preferences.

But I would suggest you to write Payoneer’s customer service and ask why it says that they have send you a card as you did not actively order it.

ClixSense does have surveys in the weekends, but not as many opportunities as in weekdays, so I have more written it for people to be aware that they might be offered as many surveys during the weekends. But there are still opportunities there. So you can still join ClixSense and get some good opportunities out of it.

There are in general often less surveys available during the weekends on survey sites. As mentioned that does not mean there will be none, but just a bit less, and I am mentioning this in my review so people are aware of what to expect.

      Hope this helps.

You the real deal.I have been following your website for couple of months and have also reffered a lot of people.
    I had a question.
Lets say you work for 2 hours on this site. What is the minimum amount of money you can earn? Also can you explain a bit more about the payment system brother.

    • Hi Jarred,

Glad to hear you have been following for a while and that you find the information useful. And thanks for telling other people about my site as well – I appreciate that.

About your question: First I want to say that how many opportunities you have on ClixSense depends on where in the world you live. And some times the size of the rewards also depends on that and on what kind of surveys you take. So it is very difficult to give a minumum amount you can make in 2 hours. The surveys have for me been the best way to make money on ClixSense, and then combined with getting the daily checklist bonus. But there are also offers that can give really good rewards in some countries. To click the ads will itself not make you a lot, but as a part of the daily checklist bonus it can still be a good idea to do. So unfortunately I cannot give a more specific answer, as there are too many variables to give a precise answer. But as with all survey sites, you just have to remember that it is not a way to become rich or make a huge hourly salary. But it can be a great way to earn a bit extra.

The payment methods has also taken me some time to get into, after ClixSense changed its methods. But there are several online payments platforms you can receive your money to and then from there get them to your bank account or in some cases get vouchers for them. Also if you live in the US or Canada, you can get paid via check. I have actually just last week written a longer article about all the payout options to give a better overview of them and to make it easier to compare the different ones. You can read it here: ClixSense Payout Methods

Just let me know if you have any more questions.

    • Hi Risan,

No at ClixSense you do not have to verify your address. But be aware that if you login from another country than where you register your account, it will raise a red flag. As long as you are in another country, you will not be able to do surveys.

About the payout, ClixSense has several ways. Unfortunately, the site does no longer offer PayPal, but you can get the money through other similar services like Payza, Paytoo, Payoneer, Tango card & Skrill. If you live in the US, you can also get the money through check.
I am actaully rigth now working on an article where I am looking more into the different payout methods offered, to give some more information so it is easier to find a good one for your needs. I am hoping to have this done in a couple of weeks, so you can sign up for my newsletter to know when there are new articles or check back here in a couple of weeks for the newest articles. That should give you some more info about the various ways to get your payout and make it easier to chose one.

It is the site that I have had most success with, but how good it is can vary depending on the country you live in.

Yes it is a shame about PayPal, but luckily there are many other options that are also very good. Actually ClixSense does offer to payout through check, but only if you live in the US or Canada. There is a $1 fee for that, but the first time you get a check there is no fee. • Hi Luis,

Glad to hear you found the info useful. Definitely worth giving it a try. How quickly you will be able to get to the $8 so you can get a payout depends a lot on where in the world you live as it differs how many surveys there are depending on the country. It of course also depends on how many you are willing to do. So for some it will be easily done in 1 or 2 days, but if you only want to/can do 1 short survey a day, it might take 1-2 weeks. My first impression of it is that it can be a very cheap way to get a lot of traffic to a website, but I do doubt the quality of that traffic, as most people only click your ad to get paid. But as I said, I only have very limited experience with it so far, so I might be wrong. I want to look more into this in the future, and will probably also do a post about it once I have more experience and info about it.
