Fitmint App Review: Worth It? (Full Details + Rating)

Fitmint Rating

Fitmint offers very low rewards. But if you are just looking for an app that will help motivate you to be physically active, it can be a decent option, in my opinion. Just be aware that it now charges a monthly fee to use all its features.

I took a look at Fitmint, a step counter app that rewards you for walking. It is legit and can motivate you to move. The rewards are low, and after a 7-day free trial it costs around $7 per month. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick first.

The short answer

Fitmint is a legit fitness app. It counts your steps through Google Fit and rewards you with FITT tokens when you hit your daily goal or a challenge goal. The app is user-friendly, and it can motivate you to be more active.

The rewards are low, because one FITT token is worth very little. Since I first tested it, the app also costs around $7 per month after a 7-day free trial. If your goal is to earn extra cash, it is not a profitable way to earn, in my opinion.

What I like
  • Offers a simple way to earn rewards

  • A monthly subscription after a 7-day free trial
  • Limited payout options: crypto only
  • No Help or FAQ page

Is Fitmint legit and safe?

Yes, Fitmint is legit, because you really earn FITT tokens. Here is what you should know before you start.

  • A monthly fee after the free trial

You get a 7-day free trial. After that, you pay around $7 per month to keep using the app and all its features.

  • Very low rewards

One FITT token is worth very little, so you would need hundreds of thousands of tokens to earn a decent amount.

  • Challenges cost tokens to join

Most challenges cost 10 FITT to join. If you miss the goal, you only get part of it back.

  • Crypto only

You can only cash out by converting FITT to MATIC or USDC and sending it to a crypto wallet. If you are new to crypto, learn how that works first.

My takeIf your goal is to earn extra cash, Fitmint is not a great fit, because the rewards are low and it costs around $7 per month after the trial. Its true value is as a tool that can motivate you to be more physically active. That is often the case with fitness apps that offer rewards.

How you earn on Fitmint

There are 2 ways to earn FITT tokens. Tap one to read more.

Daily goalsMystery boxes
Fitmint daily step goals

Connect your Google Fit account, so Fitmint can track your daily steps. You can also use another fitness app that works with Google Fit, so you do not have to bring your phone.

Daily goals are normally 2,000 steps or more. When you hit your goal, you claim a mystery box with a random amount of FITT tokens.

ChallengesUsually 10 FITT to join
Fitmint challenges

Public challenges are made by Fitmint. Private challenges are made by your friends. Most cost 10 FITT to join. Some cost more and pay more. You see the goal and the prize pool before you join.

If you hit the goal, you get your FITT back plus a share of the prize pool, split equally among everyone who hits it. If you miss it, you only get part of your FITT back. Most members pay for challenges with the FITT from their daily goals.

How much can you make?

You will not earn a lot from Fitmint. One FITT token is worth very little, so you would have to collect hundreds of thousands of them to earn a decent amount. And now you also pay around $7 per month after the free trial.

Its real value is not the money. It is a tool that can motivate you to be more physically active.
