Facebook Viewpoints Review – Scam or Legit? (An Honest Look)

Facebook Viewpoints Rating

Facebook Viewpoints is not a great primary app to earn from as you won’t be able to earn rewards very often. But it is legit and can be a way to earn a bit extra with some patience.

I tested the Facebook Viewpoints app to see if its programs are worth your time. It is legit and pays through PayPal from $3, but there are not many programs to earn from. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend instead.

Partially Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit, but too few programs to earn regularly

Facebook’s own reward app, now called Meta Viewpoints. PayPal from $3, but programs come rarely.

Good for you ifYou want an extra app next to your main sites, and Viewpoints shows up in your app store.
Skip it ifYou want an app to earn from regularly, or you want to use it on a computer.

The short answer

Facebook Viewpoints is legit. It is a Get-Paid-To app made by Facebook, now called Meta Viewpoints, and it really rewards you for the programs you complete.

But there are not a lot of programs available, so you will not be able to earn rewards regularly. The $3 payout threshold is low, but it still takes time to reach. It is not a great primary app to earn from. Only join if you really need an additional app.

What I like
  • Offers payment via PayPal
  • The app is user-friendly, without annoying pop-up ads
  • Low $3 payout threshold
  • Passive points through the Study Program, if you are invited
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • It’s hard to get in touch with their support team
  • Mobile only, no desktop version
  • Few programs outside the US, Canada and the UK

My experience with Facebook Viewpoints

I installed Facebook Viewpoints and went through its programs, the Study Program, the payout options and the support options. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Facebook Viewpoints legit and safe?

Yes, Facebook Viewpoints is legit, because it really rewards you for the programs you complete. But being legit does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • There are few programs

There really are not a lot of programs available, and you have no control over how many you get. Unless you are invited to the Study Program, you will not earn regularly.

  • The Study app collects data

The Study Program app runs in the background and gathers data about the other apps installed on your phone. The app says it does not gather sensitive information. Only join it if you are comfortable with that.

  • Support is hard to reach

The app has no contact form or email address. You have to go through the Facebook Help Center, and in my experience, Facebook support is very hard to get through to.

  • Follow every step of a program

If you miss even one step, you will not complete the program and you will not get the reward. Read what each program asks before you start.

My takeIn my opinion, Facebook Viewpoints is not a great primary app to earn from, because you won’t be able to earn rewards regularly. The low payout threshold does not help much when programs come so rarely. I would only recommend it if you really need an additional app to earn from, and with the right expectations.

Facebook Viewpoints has few programs. The top sites in your country give you more ways to earn.

How you earn on Facebook Viewpoints

There are 2 ways to earn. Programs are the main one. Tap one to read more.

ProgramsUp to around 100 points
Programs on Facebook Viewpoints

Programs are what other GPT platforms call paid offers. You get an email or a push notification when a program is available, or you see them when you open the app. Press a program to see what it asks you to do.

Most programs ask you to complete a short task, such as answering a survey or another research activity. From time to time, a program asks you to test a product or another app. There is no fixed reward: some programs pay 100 points, some pay less.

Study Program500 points a week
The Study app from Facebook

You can only join the Study Program when Facebook Viewpoints invites you. The invite shows up as one of the programs. When you accept, you download the Study app from Facebook.

It is a passive way to earn: the app gathers data about the other apps installed on your phone in the background. You get 500 points every week you use it, until the program ends or you opt out.

How much can you make?

It mostly depends on how often you can complete programs, and you have no control over how many programs you get. Some programs reward you with 100 points, and some with less.

Based on my experience, there really aren’t a lot of programs available. So even though the payout threshold is low, it takes some time before you can withdraw. Unless you are invited to the Study Program, you will not be able to earn rewards from this app regularly. That is why I would say the earning potential is quite low.

Payout methods and minimum

MethodMinimum
PayPal1,000 points ($3)
Perks WW1,000 points ($3)
Tremendous1,000 points ($3)

$3 is the only reward size you can choose. If you have more points, you can redeem more. Your points expire 5 years after the date you last earned any points. You probably won’t be affected by that, but I still recommend that you withdraw every time you reach the threshold.

I like that it offers PayPal. If you want more sites with this method, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

  1. As someone who lives in the US, I’ve been able to earn hundreds relatively easily through this app. The only thing I’ve noticed is that I’m only to get paid through PayPal, I believe the virtual cards are only for international users.
