Engage In Depth Review 2026: Is It Legit? My Tested Results and Verdict

Engage In Depth Rating

Engage In Depth is a legit survey site. You can earn decently for completing tasks there, but the opportunities aren’t as often as you would hope. But if you manage to become a member, it can be a decent secondary site.

I checked out Engage In Depth to see if its paid surveys and focus groups are worth your time. It is legit and pays high rewards, but invites are rare and the website tells you very little. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

The short answer

Engage In Depth is legit. It pays you for its paid surveys and focus groups, and the rewards are high.

But the invites do not come often, so you cannot earn from it regularly. It is only for US residents, and the website lacks basic information: no FAQ, no terms and conditions, and no clear word on how you get paid. If you manage to become a member, it can be a decent secondary site.

What I like
  • No payment threshold
  • High rewards for its paid surveys and focus groups
  • You get paid for each study you complete
  • The website works well on a phone
What I don’t like
  • Limited to US residents, but the site does not say so clearly
  • Few surveys and studies
  • Little information on the website: no FAQ or terms
  • Weak support: a contact form and an inactive Facebook page
  • Payment by check can take a week or longer

My experience with Engage In Depth

I went through the registration and looked at the member dashboard, the panels and the contact options. This is what I checked myself, and what I did not test.

Is Engage In Depth legit and safe?

Yes, Engage In Depth is legit. It does pay you for completing its surveys. But that does not mean you should sign up right away. Here is what you should know.

  • Invites are rare

Survey sites that pay high rewards normally do not offer opportunities regularly. Members confirm that the invites do not come often, and you may not qualify for the few you get.

  • The website tells you very little

There is no FAQ section and no terms and conditions. The site does not say clearly how you take surveys, how you get paid, or which countries can join. In my opinion, this is poor website planning.

  • Slow payment by check

Engage In Depth often pays by a check sent through the mail. Expect your reward after a week or so, and sometimes longer.

  • Only for US residents

The registration form lets you pick a country, but the required State field only lists US states and “Other”. The healthcare form only has the State field.

My takeEngage In Depth is a legit survey site, but it has plenty of problems, in my opinion. The main issue is the lack of information before you sign up. The good thing is that it rewards you quite significantly for every study you complete. If you manage to become a member, it can be a decent secondary site. Just do not expect to earn from it regularly.

Engage In Depth sends few invites. The top sites in your country give you more ways to earn.

How you earn on Engage In Depth

There are 2 ways to earn. Both come as invites by email. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysMain earner
Engage In Depth member dashboard

The member dashboard only shows your profile information, not the available surveys. Instead, you receive survey invites by email, with the link to the survey, the reward and the estimated time.

You first answer a few pre-qualification questions. If you qualify, you go to the survey. If you do not, you are told right away, so you do not waste time.

As a consumer, you can only join the consumer panel. The healthcare panel is only for physicians and medical professionals. If you want to take part in healthcare studies anyway, see this list of paid clinical studies.

Focus groupsHigher rewards
Engage In Depth consumer and healthcare panels

Engage In Depth also holds focus groups for the panel you join. In my experience, survey sites that hold focus groups send invites to qualified participants. A focus group discusses a single topic.

Focus groups usually pay a lot more than surveys, but they take more involvement. If you get the chance, they can pay pretty well and be fun to take part in. I do not think you can do them on a phone.

How much can you make?

It depends on how many invites you get, how many you complete, and the reward for each study. Engage In Depth says its studies pay $50 to $100. While testing it, I saw rewards of $50 to $250. It is one of the highest-paying survey sites I have come across.

But do not expect to earn a lot just yet. Members say the invites do not come often, and depending on your profile, you may not qualify for the few you get.

In my opinion, it can be a good site to earn money from time to time. Just do not expect to earn from it regularly.

How you get paid

MethodMinimumSpeed
Check by mailNoneA week or so, sometimes longer
PayPalNoneSometimes offered. More convenient than a check.
Gift cardsNoneA reader told me about this option in March 2022

The website does not make it clear how you get paid. From my own experience and feedback from members and readers, Engage In Depth pays you directly for each survey or focus group you complete. You do not need to reach a threshold.
