I tested the ChillSurveys app and answered its surveys. It pays through PayPal from $5, but there were few surveys, and later the app would not let me log in anymore. Below is what I found, what readers report, and which sites I would pick first.

Few surveys, low pay, and the app would not let me log in
An Android survey app with PayPal from $5. Surveys pay around $0.10 to $0.50, and there were not many of them.

The short answer
ChillSurveys is a survey app for Android, made by the same developer as SurveyParty. It pays through PayPal from $5, or with a prepaid Visa card or gift cards. But there were not many surveys when I tested it, and they pay only around $0.10 to $0.50 each.
Later, the app would not let me log in anymore, even after I reset my password, and there was no error message. I could not find an update about it online. Several readers also report that their cashout never arrived. So I would check the top survey and GPT sites in your country first.
- Offers payment via PayPal
- Low payout threshold of $5
- Available more or less worldwide
- Easy to use, without pop-up ads
- Guaranteed rewards for the first profile surveys
- The app would not let me log in anymore
- Limited earning opportunities offered
- Low rewards
- Doesn’t have a Help or FAQ page
- Android only

Is ChillSurveys legit and safe?
When I tested it, ChillSurveys paid for surveys and showed PayPal as a payout option. But there are problems you should know about before you install it.
- The app would not let me log in
ChillSurveys can still be downloaded from Google Play. But when I tried to log in, it would not let me. I reset my password, and that worked, but the app still did not let me in, and there was no error message. There is a chance it is not working anymore.
- Several readers report a missing cashout
7 readers wrote between August 2023 and August 2024 that they cashed out and did not receive their reward, or were still waiting. Some of them called it a scam.
- Support does not reply, readers say
Several readers report that support did not answer their emails. The app has no Help or FAQ page, so email is the only way to get help.
- Few surveys and low pay
There were not many surveys when I tested the app, and most pay around $0.10 to $0.50. Only the welcome survey paid more than $0.50 for me.
- Android only
There is no iOS app and no desktop version.
My takeChillSurveys is not a bad survey app, in my opinion, but it is also not that good. It takes quite a bit of time to earn a significant amount because it does not offer a lot of surveys, and it does not pay that well. Now that the app would not even let me log in, I would rather invest your time in apps or sites with better earning potential.
ChillSurveys has few surveys and would not let me log in. The top survey and GPT sites in your country are a better place to start.

There are 2 ways to earn. Surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveysAround $0.10 to $0.50
When you log in, you see all the surveys you can answer. The first few are profile surveys, and you are guaranteed to earn from them, so they work like a sign-up bonus.
For the other surveys, you first answer qualifying questions. If you qualify, you get the actual survey. If not, you move on to the next one, if there is one.
There were not many surveys when I tested the app, so it is hard to earn regularly. Most surveys pay around $0.10 to $0.50.
Location-based notifications$0.05 each
Allow the app to always send you notifications, and you earn $0.05 per notification you receive. It is a passive way to earn.
But I never got a notification from the app while I tested it, so do not expect to earn much this way.

How much can you make?
It depends on how many surveys you can complete, and the app does not offer a lot of them. Most surveys pay around $0.10 to $0.50. When I tested it, the only survey that paid more than $0.50 was the welcome survey.
So even with a low $5 threshold, it takes quite some time to cash out. I would say the earning potential of ChillSurveys is not that good.
How you get paid
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $5 | The most convenient option |
| Prepaid Visa card | Shown in the app | Shown next to PayPal in the app |
| Gift cards | Shown in the app | Which gift cards you get depends on your country |
Your earnings show in your account balance. As soon as you reach $5, you can cash out. The payment system is straightforward, but several readers report that their cashout never arrived, and I could not log in anymore to check it myself.
