Appinio App Review – Worth Using? (Detailed Inside Look)

Appinio Rating

Appinio is not a bad survey app, in my opinion. But it’s not that good either. The reason why I say this is that even though you can easily earn rewards from it, it will still take a bit of time before you can earn a significant amount.

I tested the Appinio app and answered its polls and surveys to see if it is worth your time. It is legit and easy to use, but the rewards are low. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend instead.

Legit and easy, but the rewards are low

Quick polls and short surveys for coins, PayPal from $10. It takes a while to get there.

Good for you ifYou want an easy secondary app that does not take up a lot of your time.
Skip it ifYou want to earn a significant amount, or you need bank transfer or Payoneer.

The short answer

Appinio is legit. It is a survey app that really rewards you for answering its polls and surveys, and it pays through PayPal.

But the rewards are low: a survey pays $0.80 at most, and polls pay a lot less. So even with a $10 threshold, it takes some time to cash out. It can be a decent secondary app, not a primary source of extra cash.

What I like
  • Offers an easy way to earn rewards
  • The app is user-friendly, without pop-up ads
  • Offers payment via PayPal
  • No qualifying process for surveys
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities are offered
  • Low rewards
  • Limit on how much you can earn with the referral program
  • Mobile only; no bank transfer or Payoneer

My experience with Appinio

I installed the Appinio app and answered its polls and surveys. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Appinio legit and safe?

Yes, Appinio is legit, because you really earn rewards for the polls and surveys you answer. But that does not make it worth a lot of your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Low rewards

A paid survey pays $0.80 at most, and polls pay significantly less. Not every poll gives a reward, and paid surveys are not very common.

  • It takes time to cash out

The $10 threshold is relatively low, but because the rewards are low, it still takes some time to reach it.

  • Limited referral earnings

You can earn a maximum of $25 from referrals, so only your first 10 referrals who reach level 14 count. Normally, referral rewards are unlimited.

  • Do not speed through surveys

Surveys contain questions that check that you are paying attention, for example one that asks you to wait a few seconds before you answer.

My takeAppinio is not a bad survey app, in my opinion. But it’s not that good either. Even though you can easily earn rewards from it, it takes a bit of time before you earn a significant amount. If you use it, temper your expectations. It does not take up a lot of your time, which is why it can be a decent secondary app.

Appinio pays very little per poll. The top sites in your country let you earn more.

How you earn on Appinio

There are 3 ways to earn. Surveys pay the most, but polls are the easiest. Tap one to read more.

PollsUsually around 5 to 10 coins
Polls on Appinio

Polls are the first thing you see when you open the app, and you can answer one in just a few seconds. Not every poll gives a reward: when you answer, you have a chance to get a coin package, which usually holds around 5 to 10 coins.

You also get experience points that raise your account level. There are a decent number of polls at any time, but they are finite. When you run out, you get more the next day.

Paid surveysAround 50 to 800 coins

From time to time, Appinio offers paid surveys. They are not very common, but they pay more than polls. There is no qualifying process. The surveys do contain questions that check you are not just giving random answers.

In my experience, the surveys that take longer to complete offer higher rewards. They are very easy to answer, so they won’t take up a lot of your time.

Referral programUp to $25 in total
Appinio referral program

Share your invite link. When someone installs the app and signs up through it, you immediately get 50 coins. When your referral reaches level 14, you get another 2,500 coins.

You can earn a maximum of $25 this way, so only your first 10 referrals who reach level 14 count. That limit is one of the main drawbacks of this app.

How much can you make?

Quite little, and it mostly depends on how much time you invest. Every poll and survey gives you experience points. Each new account level gives you more surveys and polls, up to level 50, which has the most. So answer all the polls and surveys you can to level up quickly.

The rewards are quite low, though. You can earn a maximum of $0.80 from a paid survey, and significantly less from polls. That is not surprising, since they take little time and effort. Even with the relatively low threshold, it takes some time to cash out, so I would say the earning potential is quite low.

Appinio does not offer bank transfers or Payoneer. If you want those, see the sites that pay via bank transfer or the sites that pay via Payoneer.
