I joined PointClub to test it myself, have been a member for quite a while, and have been paid. Below is my payment proof, how you earn, how the payouts work, and the limits you should know about before you join.
Legit survey site, but mainly worth it in the US
A $5 joining bonus and decent surveys in the US, but a $20 threshold and few other ways to earn.

The short answer
PointClub is a legit survey site. I have been paid, and my payment proof is in the video below. It gives you a $5 joining bonus right away and has a decent number of surveys.
But it is mainly worth joining if you live in the US. The $20 payout threshold is a little high, and most of the extra ways to earn are gone since a big site update. Use it next to other survey sites, not as your only one.
- High joining bonus of $5
- Decent survey opportunities in the US
- Easy to use, also on mobile
- PayPal, prepaid Visa and more than 200 gift cards
- The $20 payout threshold is a little high
- Not many ways to earn besides surveys
- Mainly worth it in the US
- No app

Is PointClub legit and safe?
Yes, PointClub is legit. I have been paid, and the proof is in my video. But legit does not mean it is the right site for everyone. Here is what you should know.
- Few surveys outside the US
PointClub itself says most surveys are for people in the US. It used to have more international options. In other countries, it takes a lot of patience to reach the payout threshold.
- Some readers reported pending or removed points
Some readers wrote between 2021 and 2022 that points stayed pending for a long time or were marked invalid, and that they could not cash out a balance below the threshold. In 2024, I could confirm that PointClub still pays.
- Be consistent in your answers
PointClub checks the quality of your answers. If your profile says one thing and a survey answer says another, you can be kicked out of that survey. Be honest to qualify for as many surveys as possible.
- Most extra ways to earn are gone
After a big update, PointClub went back to surveys only. Daily contests, offers and streak bonuses are no longer there. For those, use the top GPT sites.
My takePointClub can be a decent way to earn a bit extra, if you live in the US. You have to accept the $20 threshold, but the $5 joining bonus helps, it has a decent number of surveys, and it is easy to use. No matter where you live, join more survey sites too, to get the most out of paid surveys.
How you earn on PointClub
There are 3 ways to earn. Surveys are where the money is. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveysMain earner
Surveys are the main way to earn and have the biggest earning potential. You find them in the top menu or on the main dashboard.
How many surveys you get depends on where you live and how your profile fits the surveys PointClub has at that moment. In the US, you should usually get a good amount.
Answer honestly and consistently. If a survey answer contradicts your profile, you risk being kicked out of that survey.
Joining bonus$5
You get $5 as soon as you sign up and answer a few questions. It takes less than a minute. Very few survey sites offer a bonus this high. Swagbucks is one of the few others.
Referral program1,000 points ($1) per friend
Share your referral code. When a friend joins with it and completes the first survey, you get a one-time bonus of 1,000 points ($1). PointClub used to pay a commission on everything your friends earned, but it changed that.
How much can you make?
It depends very much on your profile, the country you live in, and how active you are.
One thing I can say for sure: you will not make a full-time income on PointClub, or on any other survey site. But it has a good amount of surveys in the US, so you can make some extra money on the side.
Payout methods and minimum
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $20 (20,000 points) | Cash to your PayPal account |
| Prepaid Visa | $20 (20,000 points) | Digital card |
| Gift cards: Walmart, Uber, Target, TGI Friday’s, Sephora and 200+ more | $20 (20,000 points) | A very large choice compared to other survey sites |
The $20 threshold is a little high compared to some other survey sites. With the $5 joining bonus, you are not too far from it after you join. Points from a survey can stay pending for a few weeks before you can cash them out. Once you request a payout, you should receive it within a week.
For more sites with PayPal, see the best survey sites that pay through PayPal.
Is PointClub worth it in your country?
You can join PointClub from more or less any country, but most surveys are for the US. Pick your country to see where PointClub stands on my list of the best sites there.
What 35 readers told me
This review has 35 comments since 2018: 18 from readers and 17 replies from me. These are the things readers ask about most.
Readers in the UK, Nigeria, Iraq, the Philippines and other countries found few or no surveys. PointClub is mainly worth it in the US.
Readers asked if PointClub still pays, how long points stay pending, and how long it takes to reach the threshold. It still pays, and the threshold is now $20.
Readers asked for my referral code. PointClub previously linked referrals automatically even when the code field stayed empty.

“It goes into a pending account and it can sit there for months and sometimes years.”

I Want To Join The Site But I’m Seeing Some Bad Reviews About It?
Pls Help Me Verify If Their Still Paying Or Not
Tnx
Yes, it still pays. But there are many other better sites, in my opinion.
I havent received one survey since i signed up at least 3 weeks now. is that normal
No, you should definitely have received some by now. But the site does not have too many options at the moment. I hope it will improve soon.
Don’t even consider this scam company if you live in the UK. They updated their site in March 2022 and since then it’s been impossible to complete any surveys and all the benefits are restricted to the US.
They owe me $17 and refuse to pay it since it is below the already high $25 threshold.
Their customer services is a misnomer and merely parrots the standard excuses and at 1* on Trust Pilot that alone should tell you to leave well alone. There are many more better more honest sites out there.
Sorry to hear that but thanks for sharing your experiences.
From what I have been told, they will again at some point start offering options to other countries so hopefully that will happen soon.
Pointclub is very hit anad miss. ive been a member for a few years and back in the early days it was awesome. If you had any issues it would be sorted out promptly but now that the site has more members the care and attention to the customer has gone.
yes you can earn money but the survey that you do today and get 1100pts for that took you 30mins means you got $1.10 But you dont have it just yet. It goes into a pending account and it can sit there for months and sometimes years. I have 660pts that have been there for over a year. Mostly you will wait 2 months for points to be approved and sometimes that $1.10 that you worked hard for will be classed as invalid and removed from your account. There is nothing you can do about that. Sometimes you wont even get that far. You will complete the survey and when you submit it you get nothing. Complaining about this will get you no where. The more surveys you attempt the more often this will happen.
If you are ok with answering surveys for nothing then its worth the risk. If you want to make sure you get paid then by pass pointclub and go to the survey sites that actually host the surveys. Sign up there and get the points in your account straight away.
Thanks for sharing your experiences about this.
Since the March 2022 site update, they’ve pretty much washed their hands of any one outside USA. I heard some people in the US are having issues, so I’d advise everyone to avoid at all costs.
Hi…i am a member since dec.03,2020…and im from the Philippines..I cant open gift cards to take a survey and i know it is normal because im not qualified because im only from philippines…however i actually taking surveys from pollfish…and i really have points coming from pollfish…i requested a payout for 25000points. It says there that it will send within 5-7days.I hope it will cashout to my paypal very soon…But i have a question bro..is it really paying site or is it a scam site …???is it really operating until now bro?
PointClub is definitely a legit site. You can see my payment proof in a video in the review above. If you have done everything honestly and reached the payout threshold, you will definitely get your money.
However, I also want to mention that PointClub is not the best option for the Philippines. You can check out the top sites for the Philippines here.
Can you give me your referral code? because doesn’t get it automatically, although I join through the joining button.
If you join through the joining button, you will have joined through my referral link automatically even if it does not show up in the referral code field. And you will also still get a joining bonus.
But thanks for checking.
Can you give me your referral code
Hi Samiul,
If you just join through the joining button, you will automatically get my referral code. Thanks for the support.
Why does my digital visa card not work that I got from point club
You need to contact PointClub’s support about that.
Feel free to keep me updated about how it goes.
Mikael
you didn’t qualify but i promise a sweet victory is within sight! keep working hard.
when i go to finish the SurveyLauncher
Hi Zaid,
You will unfortunately not qualify for all surveys you are offered. It is very normal to sometimes not qualify for a survey – it happens on more or less all survey sites.
So no need to worry about that and then hopefully you will qualify for the next instead.
Mikael
Hello Mikael,
Does this site request verification by phone?
No it does not Fernando.
Mikael
Hello Mikael.
This is a good review. My question is, how long does it take to receive the PayPal payment or is it immediately? Another question, the page pays $ 25 when you have 25000 points, in the case that my points fall in revision, how long it will take to give me them?
Hi Victor,
Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear you like my review.
Once you request a payout through, you should receive it within a week.
Not sure I understand what you mean about your points fall in revision? Do you mean that you have some points that are pending after you have taken a survey? If that is what you mean, then it should take maximum 2-4 weeks for the points to clear. It depends on the complexities of the survey how quickly the company approves it. Once they are approved, you can, however, cash out right away if you have reached the payout threshold.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.
Mikael
Is point club available for Nigeria and how can I cash out since PayPal isn’t available here
Hi David,
You can in theory join PointClub from any country. But it does not make much sense to join it from Nigeria, as you will not really have any opportunities there. You can instead try for example ClixSense and Toluna.
Mikael
I have a question for u guys. Can u add videos to earn points to cash out for PayPal cash and Giftcards – pls respond to me thanks
Hi Andrew,
I am not responsible for the development of PointClub. I am just giving a review of it, so people can see what it offers. and if it will be worth it for them to join. So can unfortunately not do anything to add more earning methods.
I do however know that PointClub is working on continuously introducing more ways to earn, but exactly what kind and when, I do not know.
Mikael
Very nice and informative article.
You answered pretty much answered all of my questions, but one. You stated a con of a high threshold amount. Is that $25 an amount that takes a while to reach?
Overall a great article with detailed information. Personally, I am heading over there now to check it further. Thanks for all the info.
Laura
Hi Laura,
I listed the payout threshold as a con, as it is higher than on many other survey sites. On the other hand it does however have a $5 joining bonus, which is a lot bigger than on most other survey sites. So it gives you a great start, and if you live in on of the countries where PointClub has good opportunities and make sure to login to get the extra bonus, it should not take too long to reach the payout threshold.
Hope this answers your question.
Mikael
This is really cool. It has always been a dream of mine to make a full time income online, but like anything worth having, its going to take some work and time.
I have been searching up online “how to make money online” and I read article about how you can make a passive income from paid surveys.
I think paid survey will be a great starting point for me into making money online which is why I am glad I came across this review. I am most definitely going to check this site out. Great review, very helpful.
Hi Garrett,
Paid surveys is the easiest and safest way to start making money online, and a great way to have your opinion heard at the same time. And PointClub is definitely a site worth checking out, if you live in one of the countries I mention in the article.
Just be aware that online surveys will not be able to make you a full-time income. They can make some nice extra cash on the side, but you should not expect to make a living from it. Just so you do it with the right expectations and do not become disappointed.
Mikael
Hello Mikael,
I am not interested in filling surveys online, as I am only aiming to make passive income online.
I have tried one survey site before and the main problem for me is that there were not enough surveys for me. I am from a small country and maybe companies don’t have interest for customers in my country. At first I was OK, with completing one survey every afternoon, but when I started entering my account and seeing no surveys to complete, I completely gave it up.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Some countries do unfortunately not have very many survey opportunities. Most countries do however have some good sites, but sometimes they can be difficult to find. If you tell me which country you live in, I will be happy to come up with a few suggestions for the best sites in that country.
Either way I hope you find what you are looking for in terms of online income.
Mikael
I live in Iraq
Then PointClub is not the best site for you to join Ali. You can try sites like ClixSense and Surveytime instead.
Mikael
