I have used Branded Surveys for years and have been paid by it many times. Below is how you earn, what the points are worth, how the payouts work, and the problems readers report.

The short answer

Branded Surveys is legit. It has paid members for years, and I have been paid by it many times myself. The surveys pay quite well compared to many other survey sites, and the Branded Elite program gives active members up to a 19% bonus.

But it is only available in the US, the UK and Canada. You will not qualify for every survey, and some surveys do not pay very much. Readers report that Branded Surveys can ask for ID verification before a payout. It is a great extra income, not a full-time one.

What I like
  • Free to join
  • Good payout options, including cash through PayPal and bank transfer
  • Low $5 payout threshold
  • Great bonus program that can boost your earnings
  • The member dashboard is intuitive
  • Good support and a user-friendly app
What I don’t like
  • Sometimes it takes patience to find surveys you qualify for
  • Some surveys do not have very high rewards
  • Only available in the US, the UK and Canada
  • Readers report ID checks at cashout

Is Branded Surveys legit and safe?

Yes, Branded Surveys is legit and safe to join. I have been paid by it many times. But that does not mean it is the right option for you. Here is what you should know before you start.

  • You may have to verify your ID

Readers report that Branded Surveys asked them to verify their identity at cashout. More or less all free earning platforms ask for verification before they pay you, because there is a lot of fraud on these sites. If you do not want to verify your ID, do not use survey sites.

  • Some readers report blocked accounts

Some readers report blocked accounts and a cancelled payout. Using a VPN gets your account blocked on any survey site, and you might even have one turned on without knowing. If you did everything honestly, contact their support.

  • You will not qualify for every survey

Sometimes it takes patience to find surveys you qualify for. Readers also report “survey full” and technical error messages. Choose surveys wisely and focus on the ones with the highest rewards.

  • Only three countries

Branded Surveys is only for the US, the UK and Canada. If you join from another country or try to fake your country, you will get banned.

  • Follow every step of an offer

Each paid offer has a set of instructions. If you do not follow all of them, you do not complete the offer and you do not get the reward.

My takeOverall, Branded Surveys can be a great site to earn some extra income by answering surveys if you live in the UK, the US or Canada. The more surveys you answer, the more extra points you get from the Branded Elite program, and a higher level can definitely be worth the time and effort. Just be aware that you will not qualify for all the surveys.

How you earn on Branded Surveys

There are 6 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveys100–1,000 points each
Available surveys on the Branded Surveys dashboard

The surveys are the bread and butter of Branded Surveys. You usually get surveys every day, and the dashboard tells you right away how many points each one pays. So you can pick the ones that fit your time.

The surveys pay quite well compared to many other survey sites, in my experience. They have to be approved before the full points are credited to your account.

Paid offersGood for offers
Paid offers on Branded Surveys

Paid offers are short tasks: sign up for free trials, install apps or play mobile games. Each offer has instructions. Follow all of them, or you do not get the reward.

There are a good number of offers, based on my testing, and they pay quite well compared to paid offers on many other Get-Paid-To sites.

Cashback offersWhen you shop
Cashback offers on Branded Surveys

Go to the cashback section, pick an offer and shop at the store as normal. The reward is credited after the store’s return period has passed. There are a good number of cashback offers.

Daily poll5 points
Branded Surveys daily poll

Answer the daily poll for 5 points, with no approval needed. It takes a few seconds. It is not the highest-paying option, but worth it if you are logged in anyway.

Weekly leaderboardUp to 100 points

Active members automatically take part. There used to be a daily and a monthly contest. Now there are only weekly contests. The top 100 earners from surveys get a bonus, and 1st place gets 100 points. You do not need to do anything extra.

Branded Elite bonus programUp to 19% bonus
Branded Elite bonus overview

You start as a Bronze member and move up to Silver or Gold based on the points you earn. A Gold member can earn up to a 19% bonus on surveys, which is a really high bonus compared to many other survey sites.

A new badge gives you its benefits for the month you are in plus the following month. Silver and Gold members also get their payouts approved instantly.

At any level, you earn 50 points when a friend you invited earns a Silver badge for the first time.

How much can you make?

It depends on how many surveys and offers you complete. Each point is worth one penny, so 100 points are $1, in every country. You can usually take several surveys a day, from 100 to 1,000 points each.

The Branded Elite program boosts your earnings if you stay active. So Branded Surveys is definitely a way to earn some extra cash. But it will not make you rich, and it will not make a full-time income.

I suggest you do not rely on Branded Surveys alone. Next to other sites, it can be a legit and great way to earn a bit extra.

Payout methods and minimum

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$5An easy and fast way to get your earnings in cash
Bank transfer$5Through Branded Surveys’ own bank transfer service
Gift cards$5Adidas, Amazon and many other stores. The cards vary by country.

Branded Surveys lowered its payout threshold from $10 to $5, which is a very nice, low threshold. You can also donate your points to charity; they are converted to real money.

Once you are a Silver or Gold member, your payouts are approved for processing instantly. If you want more sites with PayPal, see the best survey sites that pay through PayPal.

Is Branded Surveys worth it in your country?

Branded Surveys is only available in the US, the UK and Canada. Pick your country to see where it stands on my list of the best sites there.

    • Mikael, perhaps you are not aware of it since this is something new with Branded Surveys. However, it is important to be honest about the sites you recommend due to how easily personal information can end up on places like the dark web.

I recently began doing surveys for Branded Surveys AT THEIR REQUEST after quitting due to being cheated by phony “disqualifications” at the end of completed surveys, which also took longer than the promised time that I had committed to. Why? Well, they sent me an email begging me to return. Apparently I fit desirable demographics. So I have pride as much as the next person and don’t appreciate being played for a sucker but also know what it is like to be a market research client so I didn’t want to be a hippocrite about this and gave in as a form of paying it forward now that I am blessed to be comfortably retired. Then I tried to cash out and only then was I faced with a demand that I upload my driver’s license and passport to claim a paltry $6.80!!!! I refused. That wasn’t a requirement when I signed up so I never agreed to this. I’m seeking help from Judge Williamson as a former court stenographer out of fear now for what I may have told Branded in some survey.

Please don’t be complicit in this. I understand you want your referral kickback, but you need to protect your own reputation because survey respondents are your product.

But honestly, more or less all free earning platforms will ask for verification before they pay you. They have to do this to avoid fraud, as there is A LOT of fraud on these sites. So if you do not want to verify your identity, you should honestly not expect to be able to earn from these platforms. That goes for basically any free earning platform.

        • Mikael, the sites are committing fraud. I have hired market research firms myself so I do know how they are SUPPOSED to work. Market research is designed for statistical analysis. For every person who answers a question a particular way, five others would answer the question the same way. The survey sites have become a cover for identity theft. I want to get the word around because if the survey sites were seeking to prevent fraud, they would ask for identity documents before they already owed for personal information they are going to sell, even if they claim you “disqualified” after 30 minutes. I am not saying that all survey sites are the same. Refusing to call out the scammers just makes us culpable in the scam. I wanted to pay it forward out of gratitude to respondents while I was the market research clients. The survey sites seem to be dying off with the remaining ones merging. I think they have themselves to blame.

          • Thanks for sharing your opinion.

As for survey sites dying off, then I do not see that at all. There are some that have merged but a big issues for many survey sites I know have closed is actually the huge amount of organized fraud against them.

But I do agree that there are both good and bad sites, but there are luckily a lot of great survey sites that pay without issues. I do agree that it would be best if they ask for verification upfront but on the other hand then I, personally, do not like sharing personal info or verify my account before I have even been able to join and get an inside look. People have different preferences. But I agree that survey sites in general could do a better job at making it clear when you join that you will not get paid without verifying.

But as a rule of thumb I always tell people that they should not use survey sites if they do not want to verify their ID. Then they know what to expect. And I have personally not seen a single site paying out without doing some kind of verification.

  1. I’ve been using this site for a few months ago and it is definetly the best out of all the sites I’ve tried! Pros: the amount of available surveys is amazing – if I wanted I could do them for most of my day. I also really love the “gamification” of the branded elite tiers and bonuses. They payouts are fast, consistent and easy!
Cons: occasionally I will do a survey for a decent chunk of time only for an error message to appear or points to not be rewarded which is frustrating. I think you have to keep all of the tabs open on your browser to avoid this happening.
All in all, I am quite happy with this site and love the extra cash it brings!

  2. Hello, Mikael,

I joined Branded Surveys a month ago. Everything was good except last 2 days.

During this time, I tried about 120 (!) surveys (spending a lot of hours) and only 2 of them (!) were successful. As a rule, at arbitrary stage of qualifying, entering or filling a survey, I got a “survey full” messages. This doesn’t depent of what device is used: a Windows laptop or an Android tablet. I’ve received that message twice even after completing the survey (!)

Looking into my history, I see a lot of “survey full” and “technical error” messages. Only 5-10 “not match” were found.

Of course, I’ve contacted the support several times, however, received nothing but standard apologies and “isometimes it happens”.

Could you please express your opinion?

    • It does seem like a glitch, but I cannot say for sure. But there is unfortunately not much else you can do than let their support know. And then wait a few days before trying to take surveys again and hope it is back to what it used to be for you.

      • Here is my statistics for Branded Surveys during January 1-10:
        Completed surveys – 3
Not a match – 10 (OK, no objections)
        Tech errors – 3
Survey full – 100 (!) (I think this is abnormal and looks like a lottery)

For me, Prime Opinion is the best.

    • It might be because of using VPN – make sure you are not doing that as that will get your account blocked on any survey site. Sometimes you might even have a VPN activated without knowing so you need to make sure to check this.

Other than that, reach out to their support. If you have done everything honestly, I am sure they will help you sort things out.

  7. wow, just found out they take a huge amount of your reward money , when you cash in . They not only take their commision, Which is 23p for every pound,,, Every other survey company on the planet, pay , 1 point for 1p , 100 points = £1.. But branded they only pay 100 points = 77p, so they take 23p for every pound you cash in, and then, they take even more for paypal,, and each time they will take more the next time, lying about paypal rates for that day,, pay pal do not change their rates,, they charge the same rate every day… branded survey are not to be trusted . DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ,,, THEY TAKE A LARGE AMOUNT OF YOUR CASH REWARD. So the survey companies agree to pay you the set amount, and branded surveys then break the terms and conditions by taking a large portion away from it when you cash it in … and they are getting paid by the survey companies,, so basically , they are getting paid twice. The survey companies pay them and then they take a large amount from us, when we cash in .. I am going to report this to every survey company and let them know, branded are taking our money

    • Thanks for sharing this, but it seems you misunderstand Branded’s point system. 100 points = $1 which means to will be less than £1. They mention this on the site so it is because of it being a company based in the US and when you then convert the points into pounds they will be worth the equivalent value in pounds.

      Hope this explains it.

Sounds strange about this error. Not sure if it is because a previous owner of the number had registered with it or what the error can be. You have to just keep contacting their support and get them to look into this.
